Reviewers most often mention tawa for 2, lamb biryani, lamb karahi and garlic naan.
Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the tawa for 2 and tawa grill for 4, alongside garlic naan, masala fish and chicken biryani, and one reviewer calls the lamb karahi and lamb biryani the best they have had. The kebab rolls and a desi breakfast buffet with fresh omelettes and puris also draw praise, and the tea is called delicious. Diners describe the food as fresh and full of flavour, with several noting friendly, polite service even when the place was packed, and one says it suits family gatherings because of the big space. Value splits opinion. Some call it cheap and reasonable, but one diner found the tawa for 2 portions ridiculously small, said one spoon of a curry nearly finished it, and had to order more food, leaving a bill far higher than expected. Others mention slow service with only two staff at the front, a single glass per table, no salt and pepper pots, and no plain eggs or sausages for a young child. One reviewer was told the omelette eggs come pre-mixed with vegetables.

“Where can I start. This place is honestly my favourite Asian restaurant. The Lamb Karahi is the best I tried in Manchester and the Lamb Biryani is just amazing one of the best as well. Everything is just so so delicious and full of flavour you have to try it for yourself. There aren’t many restaurants that do a Biryani correctly but Jaan’s Restaurant know exactly what a perfect Biryani is. Honestly incredible food with so much flavour and the price is so cheap. Get this we bought 2 mains, a portion of Pilau Rice, a garlic naan and 2 drinks and it only cost £36. If this is not a bargain I don’t know what is. By far my favourite Asian restaurant and I will keep coming back here for more.”
