About Masala Fusion
Masala Fusion is an Indian restaurant at 78 King William St in Blackburn, where the menu pairs street food and classic curries with Indo-Chinese dishes such as chow mein and schezwan fried rice. That range lets one table order from both traditions in a single meal. The curry list includes lamb shank, and biryani appears alongside it, with nihari biryani among the options. Sharing platters are on the menu for those who want to order several plates together, and chips come with a masala option. The dining room spans two floors, with an upstairs level and a downstairs area connected by stairs. The restaurant opens Tuesday to Sunday and closes on Mondays.

Customer Review Summary
The criticism is substantial. Two reviewers call the chips greasy and old-tasting, one saying the lamb shank was overly salty with a ketchup taste. One reports a long wait for food, with water arriving after the meal. Another says nobody checked on drinks, napkins had to be fetched, and a birthday brownie took a long time. A regular says repeated requests to move away from a tightly packed neighbouring table were refused while an upstairs floor sat empty. One reviewer found the Pina Colada too heavy on pineapple juice, and another notes the restaurant played no music.

“I have been here a number of times, and feel a review is much needed. The food is great, I love the street style and think everything ordered off the menu taste fantastic which is the reason why I kept on going. The issues is the seating. I come here with my wife to enjoy a nice evening together to catch up only to be sat very close to the table next to me, and when request to move to another table-it is rejected, I cannot blame the waiter as this issue is with the management and I am not one to make a fuss. We came a few times after until the most recent I was sat below the stairs only for the table next to us being inches from us! I can feel that it was also awkward for them, I wanted to finish my meal quickly and leave. This is even more frustrating as they and entire floor upstairs which is empty! It is also very quiet in there which makes things worse. It is quite upsetting because I want the food but this is enough for me not to go again for a while- I hope they fix this issue. If there are 4 of you then it is worth going. I hope I have not offended anyone with this review, it is just my honest opinion- I hope you do well and the issue is fixed, I understand that you may have staffing issue or costs to use the other floor but I just can't come anymore for this reason.”

“We saw the prices and groaned, yet another overpriced hangout with a desi flavour Turns out i was wrong and pretentious. The food was amazing, my wife had the spinach chaat, i had the nihari biryani The serving sizes were pretty much family sized, those 2 dishes could've fed 3 people. The taste was authentic, balanced, cooked to perfection. Nothing too dry or too wet We've now been to then twice in a week XD”
