Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often single out the waitstaff, describing servers as friendly, efficient and warm even on packed evenings and a busy Sunday. One regular says a server remembers what they like, and one family says nut allergies for two grandchildren were handled diligently and without fuss. On the food, diners praise the 83 combo, with chicken that had crispy skin but wasn't dry, tasty ribs, crispy and fluffy chips and a well stocked salad bar. Close behind are the cheese tart with sweet potato fries, a delicious steak, a pint of Guinness and a well made cocktail. The recurring caveat is speed. One Friday regular describes long waits at the bar and for tables to be cleared, which they put down to too few staff. A mixed review reports an overcooked, too crispy pizza, bland nachos, dry chicken skewers and a two hour visit that felt slow for a Harvester. The server swapped those skewers for halloumi skewers, which were much better.

“We eat and drink in the harvester every Friday night. Food is always delicious and comes promptly on most occasions. The staff are always friendly and helpful - especially casey who most Friday nights appears to be running the bar area and outdoor area on her own. The service is good, I have only given 3 stars for service due to there sometimes being long waits at the bar or for tables to be cleared but this is usually due to lack of staff in the bar. The atmosphere is relaxing and quiet which is what we are looking for on a Friday night.”

“Great food, fabulous service even on a busy Sunday. Thank you for a lovely family meal. We were served by Jemma who went above and beyond for us, also chefs Logan, Luke and Dan we really enjoyed our meals. My steak especially was delicious”

“The best harvester experience I've had in years! We both had the 83 combo and it was great, the chicken had crispy skin but wasn't dry. The ribs were tasty, the chips were crispy and fluffy and the salad bar was well stocked. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The restaurant itself was clean and fresh. Would highly recommend.”

“Highly recommended! A hidden gem with top-notch service. We always love coming here because the food quality never disappoints and the ambience is just right for winding down and having a great conversation. What truly sets this place apart is the staff—Jemma is amazing and actually remembers what we like as regular customers. That personal touch gives us such a warm, welcoming feeling. I had the cheese tart paired with sweet potato fries today and it was outstanding. Can’t wait for my next visit!”
