Customer Review Summary
Special chow mein is the dish reviewers name most, praised as lovely and fresh tasting by one diner, though another found hardly any meat in it and everything else cold. Close behind are the chilli ribs and salt and pepper prawns, both criticised as overcooked, the ribs dry and inedible and the prawns covered in salt. Long waits dominate the complaints. Several describe deliveries arriving well late and lukewarm or stone cold, with one saying the order was sitting in the heat box when they rang. Online orders draw particular frustration, with one reviewer suspecting they are not put through and another charged, then told the order was cancelled while the shop still took phone orders. Phone service gets mixed reports: one praises it as exceptional, while others describe a curry sent without rice and a refund refused. One diner who complained about dry ribs was told some customers prefer their ribs well cooked.

“Ordered a takeaway, had to wait over an hour and a half, when food arrived, it was stone cold, called the restaurant, lady made every excuse and offered me a refund several times then refused to process it stating i orderd from a 3rd party website? Actually was the restaurants own website site! Has been like this the last few times now and I shall not be wasting my money here again, very below standard food and even worse service. Very poor”

“Waiting over 90 minutes for order to be delivered. Rang after 1 hour and was sat in the heat box. Food wasn't great after sat for so long and wasn't warm”

“Have had quite a few bad meals lately and have to wait usually around 1hr 20 mins but this one was horrible…. All was cold apart from special chow mein…. Salt and pepper prawns could not be eaten as absolutely covered in salt (I love salt on food) and very overcooked. there was hardly any meat in the special chow mein… Had done fab meals and some lousy but this was really really bad…. I am afraid I will no longer be using this chinese”

“Food ordered over half an hour late with no reason or apology given. The beef tasted like cardboard and it was clear the oil hadn’t been changed recently. The alternative around the corner, Wok N Roll, is far better. I’d recommend going there instead.”

“Did online order which was accepted and payment taken, to later get message they cancelled order. But went into the shop and they were still taking telephone orders, but have to wait 3-5 working days to get refund. Ridiculous”
