  “Food is good. Just order 2 of our favourite dishes. Sorry no dim sum this time, but it is a shame as dim sum is cheaper here than another restaurant nearby. They actually have 炸芋角 here, must try next time but this time we were already too full. Comfortable environment. Just not convenient for old people as need to climb up the long staircase. Service is overall good. Just one problem that we asked a waitress for the bill. She indicated that she is noted. The bill did not come. Then I noticed that other customers are going to the cashier counter to pay. And I followed suit and I learned it for next time.”

  “This restaurant was clearly popular with Cantonese speakers, which I took as a good sign. The dim sum was consistently good, and I enjoyed everything I tried. I'd happily return on a future visit to Birmingham.”

  “Lunar new years day and it was packed. We ordered our dim sum and it came out timely, delicious. Well presented, large portions and extremely tasty. The team was on point today as well. Service with a smile. China court is our usual dim sum place to go. Been eating here for years. 4 stars.”

  “The best dim sum I’ve had so far in the UK, even better than in London. We ordered 8 dishes and it cost us only 25£ each. The portion was just right, and the filling especially the prawns were hearty. I don’t know what to recommend in particular, but if you look at my photos, you can order them all and won’t be disappointed! Great service, beautiful decoration, clean toilet!”

  “Firm favourite for locals and visitors to the Birmingham's Chinatown. Being on the first floor not only gives guests an elevated view of the Bull Ring area but also a bit of exercise to burn off some calories. Authentic Cantonese cuisine and very reasonably priced. I was pleasantly surprised to see the bill after enjoying multiple traditional dim sum dishes, the bill was less than £25 between two of us. The same amount of food would have been well over £30 per head in London or most Chinese restaurants on the south coast.”

  “Great dim sum restaurant in the middle of Birmingham, reasonable prices for good and authentic food. The waiters can sometimes be too busy but the experience is good during off-peak times. Also note that some dishes are unavailable on Thursday and Friday since the dim sum chef is away”

  “Very authentic Cantonese food. We ordered the set menu for four people, the food was well prepared and fast. I've been here for dim sum too and everything is fresh and delicious. I'd recommend coming here for a more authentic dim sum/dinner situation if you want to try traditional Cantonese food :)”

  “Walking into China court my partner and I were greeted... not quickly, but within a reasonable amount of time, maybe bordering on unreasonably long. However, the restaurant was very busy so I can overlook this. Despite looking as though the place was full to bursting, and it's not a small restaurant, there was a table ready for us even though we hadn't made a reservation. We perused the menu and decided what we wanted to order, and we waited to do so, and waited, and waited. Finally we got the attention of one of the waiters/waitresses and placed our order. Once ordered the food arrived promptly. The dim sum and fried beef and ho fun were delicious, excellent, beautiful, especially considering that they're priced very reasonably. We also had fish flavoured aubergine with rice (not pictured) which wasn't very nice at all, the rice didn't taste like the appropriate type of rice for a Chinese dish, and I'm fairness to the restaurant, I'm yet to find a Chinese restaurant in the UK that does a good Chinese aubergine dish (I think aubergines are literally different in the UK to those in China). Despite this, I'm a sucker for Chinese aubergine dishes so I always end up ordering one in hope that I find a restaurant that makes it with actual Chinese aubergines. So the 4 stars that I've given this restaurant are based on the, for the most part, incredibly delicious food. I've deducted a star for the slow service, and I have entirely forgiven the aubergine dish as I'm yet to find a good one in the UK. If I was not nitpicking I'd also say that the decor could do with some modernising, it is VERY dated in areas.”
