Customer Review Summary
Reviewers are split, but most describe a poor stay, led by a damp, dirty room with a smell of smoke, mould in the bathroom and a broken sink. Several mention noise, including a disco in the bar past midnight and wedding guests trying doors late. One reviewer found food in the bed. The location and low cost draw some credit, and two reviewers found staff friendly and welcoming.

“Avoid this place. It is nothing as advertised on their website. The rooms are dank, reek of cigarette smoke, the linens were still wet, the amenities advertised on the website are not provided. You may not get all of your blankets. There is no reception, the staff are unfriendly and unhelpful. The walls had holes, the floor was dirty and damp, there was no window. They do not allow you to bring in outside food or drink. The only redeeming quality is its location is excellent. But you may as well just sleep on the side of the road instead. If you need to stay in birmingham, find anywhere else. Maybe a nice bus stop, or perhaps a field somewhere.”

“Stopped here before a flight from Birmingham Airport. What a mistake. Disco on past midnight and the noise was absolutely ludicrous despite there being about 5 people in the bar where the disco was. Beanie Man, Shaggy, Mr Vegas and a pretty much every other reggae artist you can think of at a million decibels. Horrific. Cheap but cheap for a reason.”

“INFESTED WITH BED BUGS!!! I arrived on Thursday evening and had booked to stay for 6 nights. At 2.30am on Friday morning, I woke-up and found bed bugs on me, the pillows and the bed. I called the manager and left a message, but received no response. I left the property and am now staying elsewhere. I have been chasing for two days and have yet to receive a response to my request for a refund. I can see a previous review mentioning the bed bugs, so they are well aware of the issue. I have reported to environmental health, and would advise people to avoid at all costs!!!”

“Just Awful ...cheap, but we now know why ! Place was like a dodgy 1970's Motel , and stank / looked as you would imagine ..Fairly clean bedding but, the dirty and dank smell penetrated all the bed linen - Dirty & smelly room, window filthy , blinds that havent been cleaned in years - mouldy & grubby shower cubicle with rusty shower rail and distusting putrid shower head - the toilet was probably the cleanest thing in the room ..Noisy & very poorly behaved clientele , drug use stink everywhere ....we left”
