Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the authentic Chinese cooking, with several pointing to traditional Cantonese dishes and a menu that feels different from what they normally order. The kung pao chicken is called the best one reviewer has ever had, and the sweet and sour chicken earns similar praise. Others mention Tom Yam soup and udon noodles. Diners describe generous portions, being seated straight away on a Saturday evening, friendly staff, and a busy but not loud room with local Chinese diners, which some take as a sign of a good restaurant. Two reviewers were sharply critical. One found the Hunan food too sweet, the plain rice soggy and the egg fried rice bland, and describes a dismissive cashier when raising it. Another received a three-meat dish with cold, undercooked chicken and duck and many small bones. One reviewer found the Zinfandel very sweet, like kids' pop, and another found service slow despite a quiet room. Those who loved it describe dishes arriving piping hot and plentiful.

“This place was so bad at guest services. The cashier&receptionist had such an attitude when I have complained that Hunan food shouldn’t be so sweet and plain rice is as soggy as congee for some reason. My husband has also ordered some egg fried rice, it doesn’t taste so horrible to be honest but so blend. This is not what we expected. When complaining, I didn’t really want anything, just at least having the courtesy saying maybe you could do better? I am so disappointed at this place and the receptionist’s terrible attitude!”

“One of the best Chinese restaurants I have eaten in. There were plenty of servers available who looked after us very well. The quality and quantity of the dishes surpassed my expectations. Whilst dining there were several local Chinese clients which always indicates a good restaurant. Highly recommended.”

“This is the best Chinese place hands down. My 2nd time ordering this in Belfast. Staying at the hotel down the street, this place is so great. The kung pao chicken is seriously the best I’ve ever had. Definitely need to come here.”

“Seated straight away at 6pm on a Saturday with no booking needed. Nice atmosphere and fast service, all with a smile. Food was generous in portion size, tasted good, and came out within five minutes of ordering, which was impressive. The Zinfandel wine wasn’t great – very sweet, almost like kids’ pop, and could do with a better wine option. Overall, a good experience”
