Customer Review Summary
Reviewers single out the chicken karahi as the draw, describing rich, authentic flavours like homemade Pakistani food. Halwa puri with fresh, crispy puris and vegetable curries with bbq chicken and naan also earn praise, along with friendly staff. The main complaints are a lamb doner that impressed while the chicken doner and chips lacked seasoning, and one reviewer who found a paratha and channy overpriced after a change of management.

“Delicious food cooked fresh with a smile. I enjoy their vegetable curries with bbq chicken and a naan, perfect meal”

“Since the management changed, it’s a total rip-off. The food quality is awful and prices are sky-high. I paid £7.50 for just one paratha and channy without realizing they’d changed hands. Don’t go there anymore. Do yourself a favor and walk down to Ilford Lane for better variety and taste for less money.”

“Mixed doner kebab and chips, lamb doner was lovely, chicken donner was average, definitely lacking seasoning, no seasoning on the chips and they were a bit sad and soft, salad OK, bread very average. Not in a rush to go back but perfectly edible.”

“I had a great dining experience at this restaurant and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for authentic desi food in Ilford. The food and service were both outstanding and deserve a full 5 stars. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was served fresh and on time. The highlight of my visit was definitely the chicken karahi. It was packed with rich, authentic flavours, perfectly cooked, and tasted just like homemade Pakistani food. If you're a fan of traditional desi cuisine, this dish is a must-try. I also ordered the halwa puri. While it is a little more expensive than what you might expect, the quality, generous portion size, and delicious taste make it well worth the money. The puris were fresh and crispy, and the halwa and chana complemented them perfectly. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars for the atmosphere is that the dining area could be improved to make it feel more comfortable and inviting. A better ambience would make the overall experience even more enjoyable. Overall, the excellent food and exceptional service more than make up for the average atmosphere. I'll definitely be coming back for the chicken karahi and would recommend this place to anyone craving quality desi food in Ilford.”
