  “We had a beef curry and a chicken curry they had no taste and was horribly thick and gloppy beef looked like dog meat couldn’t eat it we have meals from here most of the time but last few have been very poor quality and taste”

  “This is the best Chinese restaurant In Banbury? For sure In the UK? It’s very much up there. Having eaten lots of Chinese food in Chinatown/Chinese quarter in London/Birmingham, this is the best of the lot. Absolutely amazing. Fresh, great service, loads of choice. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.”

  “Oh my goodness we missed this Chinese restaurant. So glad they have reopened the restaurant side. Love, love, love the sizzling dishes. And the egg fried rice is like nowhere else. We dont live in Banbury but visit often. My pure joy when we walked passed and saw the restaurant set up again (it closed and never reopened after covid). Please keep the restaurant open now. Fillet steak in black bean sauce is divine 😋”

  “Lovely Staff :) and best salt pepper chips I've ever had! Also bought a satay sauce to dip them in is amazing! Highly recommend. Just observation they should have a website even just for a menu because more peeps need to try :)”

  “I have been there to order a House special what my wife loves the most and she absolutely loved it, she always want to eat there food as we think is the best in Banbury, they got a very good taste and the portion size is very good and big as it is supposed to be at a takeaway!! The staff are very friendly and can explain to you all their menu. I will always choose them for the Chinese takeaway. They need an award for the best takeaway in Banbury!!”

  “We bought a half crispy duck tonight to add to our very healthy salad. Service was quick and friendly. The duck was ready to collect in just 5 minutes. The place seemed quite busy - other people ordering and collecting. We were very happy with the tasty and crispy duck. Thank you.”

  “A good Chinese, great after a night out or for a take away. Food is good and staff are friendly. Food is clean and tasty with good portion size. Set menu contains plenty of food and comes out quickly. Wine and drinks are reasonably priced. Toilets are in good condition with a ground floor disabled toilet available. Mid week was not busy when we went but have been on weekends where is is more busy and service and food are the same level.”

  “Just had a lovely meal at Chen's Cottage. I have been a longtime fan of their takeaways but this was the 1st time we'd eaten in and I have to say that the service and presentation of the food was delightful - it also tasted delicious! Will definitely be coming back”

  “I was ordering from Chen's Cottage quite often as it was my favourite Chinese,however today i've ordered food and it was absolutely terrible,First I've ordered my meal without the onion and I've asked twice to make sure that they heard me .However when i get home my meal had onion in it.I've phoned them up but they was treating me like an idiot and didn't believe me as apparantly one of the workers seen my meal and it didn't have onion in it.So after two phone calls they've agreed to cooke me another one without the onion in it ,In mean time rest of my order went cold asi had to come back out ,waist my time and petrol to be treated like an idiot.Food was absolutelly terrible,the noodles was teastless and over done and teasted like mush.Ribs looked and teasted like they've been cooked week ago and reheated about 20 times,very hard and oily ,no meat on it just batter and bones.I won't be ordering again !!!”
