Customer Review Summary
Friendly staff are what pleased diners mention most often, and several also describe large portions and takeaway food that arrived piping hot and tasty. One reviewer says the kitchen changed a recipe so a partner with coeliac disease could eat safely. Another describes a Wednesday meal that became a tradition during a long hospital stay. Opinion is sharply split, and the complaints are detailed. Several takeaway customers describe stale, cold or lukewarm food, including sweet and sour pork like cardboard, stale egg fried rice, prawns in a cornflour sauce and vegetable spring rolls that seemed old. One delivery reviewer found the hot and sour soup bland and the Szechuan hot bean sauce chicken without any heat, with vegetables drowned in sauce. Another reports a very long wait for an order, with staff only repeating that it would arrive shortly. One reviewer reports finding a piece of wire in the food and being sick afterward. Those who praise the place point to the changed recipe for the coeliac diner.

“waited over 3 hours for an order staff where unhelpful and unable to provide any updates just repeatedly told order will arrive shortly. told them at 5pm had children waiting for the food 8pm they still had not sent order out.”

“Extremely disappointed with every aspect of the food, delivery from Peking Inn. The dishes lacked any real flavour, effort or quality. Everything tasted flat, mediocre and completely uninspired. The order arrived 30 minutes late and was already lukewarm, which only made the experience worse. Items ordered: hors d’oeuvres, hot and sour soup, stir-fried mixed vegetables and chicken in Szechuan hot bean sauce. Not a single dish met even a basic standard. The so-called hot bean sauce had no heat at all, the hot and sour soup was shockingly bland, and the vegetables and chicken were drowned in an excessive amount of sauce that overwhelmed what little flavour there was. Nothing about this meal was enjoyable or worth recommending. Strongly not recommended.”
