Customer Review Summary
Diners most often praise the King Prawn Cantonese Style, and the duck in plum sauce, the Garlic & Chilli Chicken and the Won Ton soup also earn specific mentions. Salt & Pepper chips are called some of the best around by one reviewer, while another grumbles that the chips looked like frozen steak chips. Reviewers describe friendly, speedy service, a large birthday group whose bills were kept separate, and generous portions with excellent vegetarian options. Several call the food hot and tasty. The sharpest complaints come from a party of seven, where four meals reportedly came out wrong, a Guinness Zero order arrived as regular Guinness despite repeated requests, and one order had to be retaken after it never reached the system. One of those diners received a burnt, rock-hard crispy beef instead of beef in OK sauce, and both critics found the prices high, with side dishes and rice charged separately. One reviewer suggests ringing ahead to book. The replacement beef dish, brought out after most of the table had nearly finished eating, closes that account.

“I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone the young waiter Hassan was a great gentleman who really made sure my service was top-notch. Furthermore Lin was also a kind guardian of the night that helped me pick out what I would like to eat. The food will go down in history in my books The atmosphere is truly one of a kind”

“Really bad waiter service, got 4 meals wrong out of a party of 7 people. Even brought me an alcoholic Guiness when I said Zero 4 times - nominated driver. Please be aware that all items including side dishes are priced/charged separately, so can get very costly. Won't be going back, better service and value for monet at the Chinese chip shop”

“To start with the restaurant is nicely presented with comfy seats and reasonable decor. Our evening was far from great though. Firstly we ordered drinks and these came reasonably fast, the problem was that my sister was one of the drivers in our group and therefore ordered Guinness Zero but received normal Guinness ever though she asked 3 times to make sure they would bring Zero. They then rectified this mistake. Next we ordered food, which took a while as there were 7 people in our group. The staff member then went away with our order, only to return a few minutes later saying the order had not gone on the system, so had to take all our orders again! Not a good start. When our food finally came. My sister pointed out that her meal did not have the sauce with it that she had asked for when ordering. The staff member said she would sort that, which was fine. She then asked if we were fine with everything else. I said no because they had brought my rice but not my meal. So she asked what the meal was! It was beef in OK sauce, which the member of staff had taken the order for on 2 occasions already. I sat there for quite a few minutes with my rice going cold and eventually my meal arrived but I noticed it looked like Crispy Beef and not Beef as stated on the menu. I wasnt that bothered so I attempted to start eating it. Only to find out it was that hard and burnt I couldnt get my fork into it. I put some in my mouth and it was rock hard, burnt and like charcoal with no actual beef in it. I managed to get the attention of a staff member and told them I ordered beef and not crispy beef and it was inedible anyway. She took my plate away and said she would bring a replacement. Again, several minutes later my meal arrived, although she nearly walked back off with the fresh bowl of rice for it. I had to tell her! By this time everyone else has nearly finished there meals. There was also another misunderstanding with my father and what actually came with his meal. The menu does not state what you get with any of the meals, i.e. ingredients. Which is where this confusion came from as my father is 80 and wanted to know. In summing up, we were very disappointed and will not be returning. Not only because of the trouble we had with our meals but also the price and quality of them. My meal was basically the same beef in OK sauce that I can get from the Chinese chip shop near me for around £7-8 including rice. The same meal at this restaurant is £13.95 with rice extra at around £5. I do understand that a restaurant has overheads etc. But I've had far better quality Chinese meals at cheaper prices in the centre of Manchester.”

“We were well looked after by the staff, food really tasty so happy to recommend - suggest you ring and book as it appears a popular place. My only moan is for what appeared like frozen steak chips.”
