Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often return to the chicken, from naga chicken bites to crispy, juicy chicken dishes with rich sauces that are not too sweet. Close behind are the fried rice and noodles, described as tasty, well seasoned and not too oily, while the spicy rice and noodles with chicken nuggets get a mention for their heat, with one reviewer saying the kitchen will tone it down on request. Chow mein, ribs, sesame prawn toast and salt and pepper chips also come up, and portions are called generous and good for sharing. Several praise the halal options and the hot, fresh, well packed food, and one credits the head chef for the flavour. A recurring caution is decline. Two reviewers say the place has gone downhill, one of whom reports refried salt and pepper chips, some rock hard and unevenly seasoned, that ended up in the bin. Another reports brown carrots in the noodles and dry, rubbery chicken after a change of management. One reviewer notes the wait can be long and that there is no seating inside.

“When I lived in Oldham, we would eat often from centuries before it was taken over by new management. The quality of the food was very poor. I ordered spicy stir fried noodles and chicken. I only took a few bites before I realised that the stir fry noodles had old carrots in that were visibly brown. Carrots are very cheap so there is no need to use old carrots even if you are being mindful of food waste… it was very off putting, I could not eat anymore. The chicken was dry and rubbery and it seemed as though it wasn’t fresh, possibly reheated or reused chicken. I usually don’t write reviews but I was very disappointed in this instance.”

“We loved this place since becoming halal and was there nearly every week but recently it has gone down hill.”

“Ordered a mixed halal Chinese meal and overall it was very satisfying. The food was fresh, hot, and well packed. The fried rice was tasty and not too oily, with good flavour throughout. The noodles were well cooked and nicely seasoned. The chicken dishes were the highlight — crispy on the outside and juicy inside, with rich sauces that weren’t too sweet. The chips were fresh and crunchy, and the sesame prawn toast was golden and enjoyable. Portions were generous, enough to share. Overall, good value for money with a wide variety of halal options. Would definitely order again.”
