  “A good friend of mine told me about five years ago to avoid this place because since the new owners took over The food on service isn’t the same quality. I’ve just ordered food there tonight. The service was fantastic. The delivery was prompt. The communication was amazing and the food was delicious. Just the same as I remember it. I’ve just noticed in the comments. Many people saying the same thing, my friend said this is my personal opinion. The owners did tell me that they was trained on the old recipes from the old owners and as far as I’m concerned if implemented it perfectly five stars from me!”

  “We've been ordering here for years. I felt that when it was taken over a couple of years ago it went down a little but tonight we went back. I am so glad we did. Ordered fillet steak in green pepper and black bean sauce, fried onions and hot and spicy rice. Wow! The fillet steak was melt in the mouth and the onions and rice were perfect. I wouldn't hesitate to order this again and recommend that you get a meal from here. You won't be disappointed.”

  “I ordered salt and pepper shredded chicken with half fried rice and half chips. The chips were lovely however the chicken was very hard it definitely was not freshly cooked and reheated.”

  “I won a salt and pepper Chinese takeaway and it was really good. The smell was amazing as soon as I opened it. The salt and pepper chicken was crispy on the outside and soft inside, with lots of flavour. It had a nice bit of spice but not too much. The chips were also tasty, covered in seasoning with bits of garlic, onions, and peppers. Everything tasted fresh and not greasy, which made it even better. Overall, I really enjoyed it and would definitely order again.”

  “Been coming to this chippy for over 15 years now and the new guy who is serving is quite iggronant it's not the 1st time or else I would not write this but tonight I'm.so annoyed after spending £25 ony order he was rushing me on the phone also when I arrived I asked dcoupd I have a scallop while waiting obvs I payed he took my money and did not pass the scallop I had to ask again then to get home nonprawn crackers in my bag I rung bk all he could say was sorry my mistake next time on the house I said well there not if I payed and didn't receive them are they?? Apart from that he is not suited to that chippy he lets it down for service sorry his chips are always a salty”

  “Canton House harks back to an era of old school Chinese Chippies. The gravy is dark, almost black, with a very nice flavour, which gets thicker as it cools. You simply can't beat it. The food is always cooked fresh, and both the English and Chinese dishes are superb. Elle who runs it, also operates the Foodaholic Chinese takeaway in Openshaw and you can tell. The quality of the food is the same across both sites and the value for money is unbearable. Absolutely top notch.”
