Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often return to the views over the bay, with lunch and dinner on the outdoor seating and the terrace described as lovely settings. The food gets steady praise: a roast Sunday lunch with plenty of veg and gravy, a duo of pork with roast red pepper soup, a pasta dish with garlic bread, and chocolate profiteroles. Mocktails and coffee also earn mentions, and one diner heard a pianist playing during the meal. Service is called friendly and welcoming, with one server praised for never rushing a table. Several note the place gets very busy, especially at weekends, and say booking is recommended. The recurring caveat is value. A few felt the meal was underwhelming for the price, and another was let down that the desserts were bought in rather than made on site. One reviewer describes a noisy bistro full of families. One table had to send food back after the order was taken incorrectly without being written down.

“We had lunch here with friends. Beautiful location is a good start. Lovely views from all aspects. Great menu! Imaginative with all tastes catered for. I had the soup of the day, a delicious roast red pepper, with the duo of pork for mains. Beautifully presented, and generous portions. The chef has real talent and flare, with care taken in preparation and presentation. The gentleman serving us was delightful All our food was delicious, and we’ll certainly return. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit here.”

“Met my friend and ex work colleague for lunch. Hadn't seen each other for about 5 months so had a lot to catch up on. Jordan who was serving us was very patient as we were talking instead of looking at the menus. He didn't rush us at all and was happy for us to take our time. Food was tasty, I had a pasta dish with garlic bread which was lovely, not too heavy and sauce was a perfect consistency. I had the ice cream for desert as I was too full for anything else. My friend enjoyed her meal too and we will definitely be back again. Thank you Jordan and Sophie, both were very welcoming and happy to chat to us. It was a refreshing change.”

“We went for dinner on a weekend away for my wife's birthday. We booked last minute and they managed to squeeze us in for a table for 2, so you would definitely need to book for a weekend table. Food was nice and the service was very efficient, it would've been 5 stars but the desserts were bought in rather than made on site and I felt that given the price it was a bit disappointing. However, they were a reasonable quality and it didn't stop us having a great night!”

“Sunday lunch overlooking the bay. The roast was delicious and plentiful with lots of veg and gravy. Dessert was lovely but a little pricey - worth it for a treat though. Recommend booking as the place was very busy. Lovely views out across the water with pianist playing in the background whilst you eat”
