About The Shepherds Rest
The Shepherds Rest is a gastropub on Alnwick Moor, just outside Alnwick, with an on-site campsite and a motorhome stopover. Travellers can stay on the grounds and eat at the pub without going elsewhere. Food vans visit on set nights, serving Parmo from one and Schwarma from the other, and guests can eat that food inside the pub. The kitchen also works from its own dessert menu, which includes a homemade lemon and ginger biscuit cheesecake. Diners can eat in the conservatory area. Dogs are welcome, which suits campers travelling with a pet.

“Just on the outskirts of Alnwick. Great for a motorhome stopover. Beer was good and less expensive than many places. There on a Friday and Saturday night. Parmo food van on Friday night and Schwarma food van on Saturday night, both excellent and can be eaten in the pub.”

“Just outside Alnwick the location is good but the services could do with quite a lot of TLC. We'll not be using it again.”
