About Ozone AM Restaurant
At 117 Victoria Rd in Aldershot, Ozone AM Restaurant is a Chinese restaurant built around an all-you-can-eat buffet where guests serve themselves. The spread mixes Chinese, Indian and Nepalese dishes and runs from starters through to desserts, with dessert included in the buffet. Chicken satay, salt and pepper prawns and crispy duck are among the Chinese dishes that come round regularly. Vegetarian and vegan options sit alongside them, so a mixed table can find something each. Many of the staff are Nepalese. The restaurant opens daily, and a car park on Birchett Road is a short walk away.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often return for the all-you-can-eat buffet and its value, a spread of Chinese, Indian and Nepalese dishes running from starters through dessert. The salt and pepper prawns come up repeatedly, with chicken satay, crispy duck, spare ribs, dumplings, mussels, noodles and fried rice with pork named close behind. Staff are described as friendly and welcoming, and a few mention calm music and a relaxed atmosphere. The main caveat is freshness and consistency. One diner found the food tough, dry and flavourless, with dishes that looked long held in warming units, and reports that the family became ill with vomiting and diarrhoea after the meal. Another visitor around 3pm found several items stale though the flavours were good, and noticed quality improve once the restaurant got busier and dishes were refreshed. One reviewer found the beef chewy and the stir-fried vegetables overcooked, and another says the room looks tired in places. Several note that pudding, ice cream, cake and fruit are all included in the buffet price.

“Unfortunately, this time I have to leave a very negative review. Today we came to this restaurant for dinner with my family. It is a self-service place where guests choose their food from the buffet. Sadly, the food today was very poor – tough, dry and almost completely without flavour. It was clearly far below the standard we experienced during our previous visits. Some dishes looked like they had been sitting in the hot holding units for far too long. What is even worse, shortly after eating I had to run to the toilet while still in the restaurant, and on the way home I could barely make it. I now have severe diarrhoea and vomiting. My daughter is experiencing similar symptoms, and my wife has strong stomach pain. This is extremely concerning. I should also add that I am a Head Chef, so I understand very well how food should be prepared, stored and served safely. That is why this experience is even more shocking and disappointing for me. It is a real shame, because this was probably our fifth visit here and the food used to be very good, which is why we kept coming back. Unfortunately, after today’s experience we will definitely not be returning. I hope the owners seriously review their food safety and quality standards so that other guests do not experience something like this.”

“Visited on a Sunday afternoon around 3pm and were seated straight away. First impressions were positive — the place smelled great and the staff were friendly, even though there were only two servers working and they were clearly stretched. Unfortunately, a lot of the buffet food seemed to have been sitting out for a while. Several items were stale, though the flavours themselves were good. Around 4pm, when the restaurant got busier and dishes were refreshed more frequently, the quality noticeably improved. Despite the increase in customers, the atmosphere stayed calm enough to hold a normal conversation, which was a plus. Beer was good, desserts were limited but fine, and the overall value for money was decent. However, the restaurant is looking a bit tired in places and could use some attention.”

“Highly recommend this restaurant! Something for everyone here! Kids and all! The cost to eat here is super cheap for what you get! Service is incredible too! Staff are all so friendly and helpful! I felt so welcome here, very relaxed and at home! There were staff cleaning the toilets while we visited, with a smile on their face too! Very calming music in the background to help with the atmosphere. The food is absolutely gorgeous too! Not one bad thing I can say about this place! A must visit! Best restaurant around! You don't have many buffet restaurants these days so please visit here to keep them going for as long as possible”

“This buffet restaurant serves a mix of Chinese, Indian, and Nepalese cuisine. The food is decent, with a good variety of options, I especially loved the salt and pepper prawn. The atmosphere is excellent, creating a warm and welcoming vibe, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Pricing is fair, offering great value for the experience. However, the beef was a bit chewy, and the stir-fried vegetables were slightly overcooked. Despite these small issues, it’s a solid choice for a diverse and enjoyable meal!”

“I've visited this restaurant since 2004 when it was named AM's, not named Ozone. The staff are attentive and friendly. Many are Nepalese and are lovely people. The food in terms of All You Can Eat is the best for miles. Spare Ribs, Chicken Satay, Garlic Salt & Pepper Prawns, Crispy Duck, Dumplings, Sweet & Sour Chicken, Fried Chilli Chicken, Garlic Chicken, Beef & Black Bean Sauce, Crispy Squid, Prawn Crackers, Seaweed, Prawns Toast, and so much more. For those with a sweet tooth there's Ice cream, Cake and Fruits for desert, all you can eat, all included in the price. Don't miss out on this experience.”
