Vic & Anthony's Steakhouse
Quick info
About Vic & Anthony's Steakhouse
Vic & Anthony's Steakhouse is a steak house in Houston, serving meat and seafood with classic salads and side dishes in old-school environs. Much of its character comes from the fine dining restaurant format, where the menu spans 55 dishes across a range of mains. The Prime Porterhouse for Two 36 Oz anchors the steak side of the menu, while the Lobster Bisque appears among the seafood offerings. A popular item listed as Perfect rounds out the menu preview, giving the selection a composed, signature-driven shape. The restaurant operates as both a steak house and a seafood restaurant, pairing those mains with classic salads and side dishes. Reservations are advised for the full format, which is built around structured service and a broad menu rather than a single dish.

Customer Review Summary
Vic & Anthony's Steakhouse draws consistent praise for its service and food, with reviewers frequently describing the staff as attentive, professional, and seamless. The lobster bisque and lobster mac and cheese come up repeatedly as standout starters, while the American Wagyu ribeye and filet mignon are singled out as excellent cuts. Desserts also leave an impression, with the 24 layer chocolate cake and creme brulee mentioned as highlights by multiple diners. The atmosphere is often called romantic and upscale, making it a popular pick for birthdays, anniversaries, and Valentine's Day. A few recurring complaints temper the praise: the bread at tables is described as overcooked with a hard crust, and on busy nights the valet line can stretch to nearly an hour. One diner notes the dining room was noisier than expected for the price point, and another found the bone in ribeye lacking flavor without a topping. Several suggest making reservations ahead, especially for special occasions.

“Amazing crab cakes and steaks, the 24 layer cake is huge and a show stopper! They have an extensive wine list, pages and pages of wines. Sonya, our server for the night, was the best! She took such great care of us, thank you!”

“Had the most amazing Valentine’s at Vic & Anthony’s! From start to finish, everything was exceptional. The service was wonderful and efficient, and Dominique truly made the experience even better with his thoughtful wine and dinner recommendations—we were not disappointed at all. The food came out hot and fresh, and everything exceeded our expectations. We even had our 5-month-old with us, so we were on a bit of a schedule, but the team made sure everything flowed perfectly. Before leaving, I made it a point to speak with the manager, Robert Harvey, to let him know what an incredible job he and his team are doing. Thank you all—we can’t wait to come back!”

“7.5/10 Experience Vic & Anthony’s is a great spot for a first date, birthday dinner, or even a family night out. They offer valet parking and there was live music when we walked in, which set a really nice vibe. The lighting is very dim and definitely gives a romantic atmosphere, although the bathrooms could use a little more lighting. The portions are pretty huge, so sharing sides or even a main dish works well. I ordered the lobster mac and cheese and potatoes and split them with someone — both were really good. The red wine was also excellent. The only downsides were the bread and the tap water. The bread was a bit overcooked (almost too hard), and the tap water didn’t taste great. Overall, I’d rate it 7.5/10. Good food and atmosphere, but a few small details could be improved.”

“Celebrated our Anniversary here and the food was very delicious. Seasoned to perfection. We have the lamp chops and the stone axe waygu steak. Superb!! Will be visiting again.”
