About Slow Drip TX

Slow Drip TX is a coffee shop in Houston, TX, set along Sky house North 77002, with a menu built around a focused coffee program and a compact food side. Much of its character comes from a small, deliberate list of drinks that leans into simple, recognizable formats rather than an extended lineup. The Iced Coffee with Texas is a popular menu item, and the Cappucinno also appears as a popular selection, anchoring the core coffee side. The Brown Sugar Oatmilk Latte rounds out the drink menu with a single flavored option. Mains are priced in the four to seven dollar range, and the total menu spans 30 items, giving the shop a modest but defined food presence alongside its coffee. The format suits both quick takeaway and casual laptop work within a neighborhood coffee setting.

Customer Review Summary

The slow drip iced coffee is the defining draw, with multiple reviewers praising its deep, rich, nuanced flavor and strong caffeine kick from a 9-hour Japanese-inspired process. The brown sugar oat milk and brown sugar vanilla variations come up repeatedly, and several note that baristas offer samples and walk newcomers through how the method works. Tacos also surface as a highlight, with the bacon taco and steak and egg taco both singled out, along with the house red and green sausages. The space draws mixed reactions: many describe a cozy, inviting atmosphere with leather sofas and comfortable seating, while one reviewer found the modern décor cold and uninviting. A recurring service note is that orders can take a while, with one reviewer observing that even with staff on hand, only one person worked the espresso bar. One diner also reported a wobbly high-top table and a bread-heavy sandwich with stale bread.

First-time visit, and I’m still on my eternal search for the perfect cortado. The cortado here was good, but not quite great. The coffee flavor was a bit milder than I prefer and lacked the boldness I look for in a cortado. The décor of the coffee shop is very inviting, featuring large leather sofas and comfortable cushioned chairs. However, the high-top table where I was seated was unstable and quite wobbly, which was a bit distracting. I also tried the cream and blueberry Danish, which was delicious and paired nicely with the coffee. Customer service was excellent. The barista was friendly, knowledgeable, and patiently answered all of my questions. Overall, I enjoyed my visit and would definitely recommend this coffee shop to friends and family.

I had been wanting to go for a couple months and it didn't disappoint! 4 stars for service because we waited for awhile. Even though there were two people behind the counter, the person making espresso made no effort to help the other …

I enjoyed the ambience here a lot. The couch and fireplace TV setup reminded me of a cigar lounge. The staff was nice, the coffee was good and came out fast and hot. I had the sausage and egg sandwhich on a biscuit which was good by coffee shop standards.

Visited for the first time and felt instantly welcomed. The barista kindly explained their specialties, and the iced coffee was exceptional. Cozy space, comfortable seating, and a place we will gladly return to.

The Kyoto slow drip is amazing quality and reasonably priced! Loved the brown sugar vanilla iced. Great atmosphere and really enjoyed the red sauce with the burrito. My wife tried the green sauce with hers. Man this iced coffee was so good I didn't want to finish it; I wish it were a futuristic movie scene where you sip and it keeps refilling! I got half amounts of the flavors, which was a great recommendation from the barista
