About The Coffee Garden

The Coffee Garden is a coffee shop, cafe, coffee stand, and tea house in Houston, TX, at 5353 W Alabama St Ste 100. Its character comes from a drink program that leans into layered, tea-forward lattes and cold beverages. The Matcha Latte anchors the menu, while the Pandan Matcha Cloud offers a distinct variation on the matcha theme. Juice rounds out the options for those seeking a non-coffee alternative. Customer Review Summary

Reviewers consistently single out the baristas' patient, detailed menu guidance as the defining draw, with several describing how a barista walked them through the coffees and ingredients and made tailored drink recommendations. The pistachio coffee, pistachio cream, ube latte, ube cloud, Golden Hour, and Black Forest mocha come up repeatedly as standout drinks, and one reviewer highlights the almond and spinach feta croissant and the triple chocolate pistachio cookie. Service is repeatedly described as sweet, helpful, and quick, with one reviewer noting a staff member generously offered an extra cookie after a slight delay. A recurring trade-off is that the atmosphere leans social rather than quiet, with one reviewer cautioning that it is more of a great place to meet up with friends than a spot for a quiet coffee shop. A separate complaint flags unreliable WiFi, with one visitor unable to connect a laptop to study.

First time here and needed an afternoon pick-me-up. Iced Golden Hour with coconut milk for the win. Really hit the spot.

What a great coffee shop! I love the atmosphere! However, if you are looking for a quiet coffee shop, this may not be the place for you. I’d say it is more of a great place to meet up with friends. At least this was the case on a Sunday afternoon.

We ordered some drinks from this place and they were delicious. The barista did a great job and was really nice! We got the Black Forest mocha and ube latte.
