What reviewers say
Reviewers most often mention truffle pasta, lemon cello, cheese wheel pasta and fried calamari.
Customer Review Summary
Reviewers consistently highlight the tableside cheese wheel pasta, especially the truffle pasta served in a cheese wheel, as the standout dish, with several calling it rich, distinct, and the best pasta they have had. The fried calamari and tiramisu also come up repeatedly as favorites, and diners frequently praise the warm, attentive service, singling out staff members by name for making them feel welcome and well taken care of. The tiramisu, cannoli made to order, and lemon cello shots also earn mentions as strong finishes to a meal. On the downside, a few reviewers note that the truffle pasta special can feel overpriced and underwhelming in flavor, with one diner describing the sauce as basic and another finding the chicken add-on served cold. Some also mention tight spacing in the back dining room and occasional slow check delivery, and several suggest making a reservation because the restaurant can get busy, especially at dinner.

“Bruno is so amazing (the manager) makes the best lemon cello shots! The whole Bible was incredible and the food was absolutely delicious. This is my first time in New York and I had a blast. I will be back.”

“Amazing food. Amazing atmosphere. Amazing staff and friendly! He spotted us as we were walking by and invited us in. We promised to come, and it was the best decision!! As a thank you, we had a lemon cello on the house. Margarita pizza and the pasta were the absolute best!! Lemon cello 👌👌 Thank you for the amazing experience!!”

“Casa D’Angelo’s is amazing. The food was incredible . We had the cheese wheel homemade fettuccine with Filet Mignon- both topped with truffles. The pasta was so fresh and the filet was the most tender filet mignon I’ve ever had. The fried calamari was so fresh and tender as well. And the service was impeccable! Our server, Eduardo, was extremely attentive, gave us great recommendations and a complete sweetheart! Thank you Eduardo! We will be back for sure!”

“The food was wonderful. The calamari fritti was cooked perfectly as it didn't feel rubbery and tasted fresh. …”
