  “BLUF - After helping them sell 2 wigs, I left all that mess there and walked out because they talked about me out loud then refused to help me. …I know this is what I deserve in this climate… Today, I had the worst beauty supply shopping experience I’ve had since I was a teenager. There was a 50% off sale. So, I grabbed a cart and some items. There were approximately four customers shopping for wigs, including myself. I watched and helped, an elderly lady try on and select 2 wigs from the floor. All while other people were being helped. I waited patiently for 10-15 minutes before I walked toward a black female employee with a wig on a stand and got corrected that she would come over to help me. I heard her going on and on complaining out loud about me taking the wig and the stand. I stood there waiting for help as the entire department emptied and no one came back to even ask me what I wanted. In total, the store may be had 10-15 customers that I could see at that time. I went back to the front & the same lady who had just checked me about handling the wig was up there and another cashier. Again asked the cashier if there was anyone who could help me in the wig section, she apologized and came out to the floor to find somebody who could escort me. As we get to the wig section, the two employees are arguing back-and-forth in a foreign language in front of me when the male says sorry we don’t have the people for you to try on wigs. What??? We hadn’t even got there because no one would speak to me. I just helped you sell 2 and I can’t even get helped??? Can I even find out what colors you have in the 2 I picked?? I left all that mess there and walked out.”

  “I am a Georgia resident visiting family in Southfield. I went to Cherry and purchased a purse, earrings, a necklace and a bracelet. I ended up not needing nor wearing any of the items. So, I went to exchange, NOT return for a refund. I was first told that the purse was a final sale because people wear things and bring them back. I took it on the chin although the tag and stuffing were in place. I pulled out the jewelry, still in its packaging and tagged and was denied an exchange as well. I decided to wear the jewelry today... The bracelet broke before I could even get it on my wrist. I will NEVER shop with Cherry again as I see they only want OUR money, and don't care about providing quality customer service to OUR COMMUNITY. I had to suffer for the actions of a few because apparently we are all painted with the same brush over there. Mind you, I used to shop there every visit. Never again. I'll spend my Black dollars where I'm valued and appreciated. SHAME ON YOU, CHERRY.”
