About Chelsea’s Kitchen
Chelsea's Kitchen is an American restaurant in Phoenix, serving comfort fare from a bustling setting with a patio overlooking the canal. Much of its character comes from the industrial-chic interior and the canal-side outdoor seating, which shape how the space works for both brunch crowds and burger-focused dinners. The kitchen covers a broad American menu, with brunch, Southwestern and taco influences alongside its burger offerings. The Large Deviled Eggs lead the menu as a signature starter, while Red Velvet Cake and Cookies anchor the dessert side. Reservations are advised during peak times, when the patio and interior fill with diners looking for a steady comfort-food lineup in a high-energy setting.

Customer Review Summary
Diners consistently single out the patio as the defining draw at Chelsea’s Kitchen, describing it as a heated, dog-friendly space with a fireplace, string lights, and trees that one reviewer called one of the best outdoor dining spots in Phoenix. Close behind are the tacos, with the short rib tacos repeatedly singled out as a must-have for their flavor and falling-apart tenderness, and the blackened branzino and blackened swordfish tacos also earning high praise. Reviewers frequently start with the deviled eggs and the ahi tuna ceviche or tuna tartare, several calling the ceviche and tuna appetizers delicious and noting the generous guacamole that comes with them. The complimentary sea salt chocolate chip cookies handed out near the door on the way out come up as a recurring detail multiple diners insist you don’t skip. Service experiences vary, with several reviewers describing warm, attentive servers who helped explain the menu, while a few note that the tacos can feel underwhelming for the price and one diner found the ahi tuna disappointing. A number of guests mention the complimentary valet as a smooth start to the visit, and several suggest booking ahead or aiming for patio seating when the weather is good.

“Category: Gastropub. The homey feel of this place reminds me of a cabin in the Adirondacks. Although we would normally have dined on one of the outdoor patios or at the inviting bar just past the open kitchen, we chose a cozy comfy leather banquette over a table, from which we admired the decor: subdued lighting, shaded lamps, sandstone-brick wall, and open black steel truss ceiling with visible HVAC tubes. We were very happy with the wine list, which offered several bottles of red for $50 or less (our sweet spot for restaurant wines), and one was even under $40. The solidly gastropub menu came highly recommended. We started with the deviled eggs, which were presented on branded wooden trays that I now covet for my upcoming Oefs Mayo series. For a main we shared the blackened branzino, which was the best and most beautiful branzino I have seen anywhere. Golden and blackened, crispy, crusted, and large enough to be easily shareable, especially with a side of frites. The frites were wonderfully super crispy. And something happened with the frites that’s never happened before. We always order frites with mayo. In every other restaurant, I emphasize that we want mayo, not ketchup, and that it needs to arrive with the frites so they don’t get cold and flabby while we await the always-late mayo. We’re always assured that the mayo will arrive with the frites, but it never does, except at this restaurant, where it actually arrived BEFORE the frites. I was blown away by this little thing, and it made all the difference between an okay meal and a perfect one. This place is destined to become one of our regular haunts in Phoenix/Scottsdale. Don’t miss the bowl of free sea salt chocolate chip cookies near the door on your way out. YouTube’s Chef’s Apprentice”

“The entire experience was fantastic. Complimentary valet is how we started, to walk in and get patio seating on a busy Saturday night with no wait at all. We were greeted by Bella, who was wonderful and attentive throughout the whole time. …”

“I’ve had Chelsea’s Kitchen on my "to-go" list for quite a while based on recommendations from several foodie friends. Finding ourselves on that side of town looking for lunch, we finally decided to give it a shot. The Atmosphere Since it was a beautiful spring day, the patio made the decision for us—it has to be one of the best outdoor dining spots in all of Phoenix. It’s the perfect place to sit back and soak in the weather. The Food & Drinks We stuck with the local favorites: Short Rib Taco Platter: Alma definitely won the order of the day. This taco plate was hands down awesome—perfectly executed. Green Chile Burger: It wasn't a bad burger by any means, but compared to those tacos, it just didn't stand a chance - I was jealous! Cocktails: Their specialty cocktail list feels like it was built specifically for patio sipping. Everything was fresh, bright, and offered really tasty spins on the classics. The Verdict It certainly made for a pricey lunch, but the quality and the atmosphere made it worth it. We’d absolutely do it again for such a beautiful experience.”

“We got this recommended by a friend and it was so delicious! We started with the cornbread which was so moist, and the tacos had so much flavor I couldn't stop eating. The grilled steak had a charred flavor and the salad/guy/pico had so much flavor. My husband got the steak and potatoes but it wasn't anything out of this world.”

“Shockingly great food. Ahi tuna ceviche was delicious as well as the prime rib and the jumbo shrimp tacos. Not to mention they hand press their tortillas and give out the most satisfying salted chocolate chip cookies on your way out. Exceeded our expectations for sure.”
