Customer Review Summary

The mixed grill is what reviewers raise most, with grilled chicken, juicy kofta and charred tomatoes served on soft naan alongside saffron rice. Close behind are the kebabs, described as the real deal, and the Persian tea, which several name as the right way to finish a meal, one pairing it with a handmade almond cookie. Others mention Ghormeh Sabzi with Shirazi salad, a platter for two with lemon and sumac, a Persian breakfast, and a chocolate cake among the desserts. Reviewers also praise the outdoor seating, with covered gazebos, a shisha area and gardens, plus friendly, attentive staff, and families note the baby changing table and a spotless interior. No recurring complaints appear in the reviews. One diner who travelled from Birmingham ended the evening with Persian tea and said the trip was worth every mile.

“Rumi Cafe, Wolverhampton – A Taste of Authentic Persian Cuisine! 🍽️🔥 If you’re looking for authentic Persian flavours, generous portions, and a delicious grilled feast in Wolverhampton, Rumi Cafe is definitely worth a visit! The mixed grill was the highlight of the meal, featuring deliciously grilled chicken, juicy kofta, and beautifully charred tomatoes. Served on fresh, soft naan bread, every bite was packed with flavour. The saffron rice was fluffy, fragrant, and perfectly complemented the grilled meats. The crispy fries added a lovely finishing touch to this hearty and satisfying meal. ☕ And the experience didn’t end there! The authentic Persian tea was the perfect way to finish the meal, offering a warm, traditional touch that paired beautifully with the handmade almond cookie. The cookie was delicious, with a lovely homemade taste that made it extra special. 🍫 And for dessert, the chocolate cake was absolutely delicious! Rich, indulgent, and the perfect sweet treat to round off an incredible meal.”

“We visited here as a group of 4 a week ago, ordering starters and sharer mains. The food was all full of flavour and cooked beautifully. The staff and manager couldn't have been more attentive. A wonderful addition to the area, which we highly recommend.”

“Such a good place for authentic Persian food right here in Wolverhampton! The vibe is so warm and welcoming, a lovely spot to catch up with family and friends. Everything tasted so fresh, and the kebabs are the real deal. We went for the mixed grill and Ghormeh Sabzi ( Persian Vegetable stew), with Shirazi salad, and finished everything off with their special tea. Absolutely delicious! *Parking: We managed to find street parking easily, and there is a Sainsbury's right across the road with 3 hours of free parking. * Vibe: family-friendly and chilled. * Facilities: The toilet was spotless, and they even have a baby-changing table.”
