Customer Review Summary
Cheesy mash is the dish reviewers return to most, with one calling the double cheesy mash particularly delightful and another saying it is to die for. Close behind are the wok chicken, the spicy meatball pasta with mozzarella, and the chili garlic bread, which one reviewer called heavenly. Starters named include mango chicken, onion bombs, mushrooms on toast and squid. The pulled beef with yorkies splits opinion. One party enjoyed it as a build-your-own sharing bowl, while another found the yorkies well overcooked and the worst they had eaten. Other complaints are scattered. One party found the portions too big, a parent called the children's menu limited and boring after a request for a smaller adult portion was refused, and one ordering mix-up was recovered by staff. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly and happy to be there, and several walk-in parties were seated straight away. Several diners with dogs mention a welcome, and one says the dogs were given biscuits and a bowl of water.

“My family and I stopped off here whilst we are down at the lakes a few months back. Thankfully the were able to accommodate our large group. It was dog friendly which was handy. The restaurant is substantial with additional upstairs seating. It was clean and comfortable with a nice chilled atmosphere. The menu is large offering good variety. It was midday so we weren’t looking to stuff our faces. My wife and I shared the hot chocolate which was okay but nothing special. My wife got the fried chicken which was cracking! The chicken was nicely cooked and seasoned and came with sauces which were delicious accompaniments. I went for this pulled beef dish with a couple of yorkies on top. These yorkies were the worst I have ever had. Well overcooked and they lost their flavour completely. The beef was fine but overall a disappointing dish. The staff were pleasant enough throughout and the value was reasonable.”

“Absolutely excellent restaurant. The food is great, the service was excellent and it has a very pleasant atmosphere. We turned up without a reservation and were easily accommodated. Nothing seemed to be too much. I can recommend the mushrooms on toast starter and the fish and chips. I also have it on my husband's authority the squid starter is excellent. Keep going here, the place never disappoints.”

“Seated us as walks ins with a dog, served straight away. Food and drinks came out fast with generous portion sizes. Bought a water bowl and treats over for the dog, too. Not too expensive either, definitely recommend”
