About The Pavilion Beefeater
The Pavilion Beefeater is a steak house on Hutton Moor Rd in Weston Super Mare that serves breakfast as a self-serve full English, with a coffee machine that makes different types of coffee at the touch of a button. The main menu features steak served with triple-cooked chips. Starters arrive in small bowls, and extra sauces come to the table, with ketchup in small dipping dishes or a bottle of brown sauce. Gluten-free and vegetarian options are on the menu, and staff at the door ask about allergies. Desserts include sticky toffee pudding and a millionaire's brownie sundae. Parking is self-validated at a touch screen just inside the entrance and covers up to 3 hours. At the festive time of year, the restaurant puts up Christmas decorations and serves Christmas meals.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the friendly table service, with the self-serve full English breakfast and its push-button coffee machine a favourite. One breakfast regular says a server greeted them, kept supplies stocked and remembered their names over a week of visits. Among dinner dishes, diners single out a steak with peppercorn sauce and triple-cooked chips, and chargrilled chicken with cheese and bacon that stayed moist. The millionaire's brownie sundae, sticky toffee pudding and black forest gateau earn praise at dessert. Food opinions are split, though. One family found the steaks tough and the salad wilted, another reported burnt gammon and thin, overcooked, dry chips, and one reviewer found the vegetarian dish small beside the roast. A reviewer also objected to being charged for a tiny pot of extra sauce. Two reviewers describe a grumpy manager who offered a family with young children only a late table, then limited them to the bar area while others kept being served food. The same reviewers still praised the bar staff.

“Now I don't want to be picky. But it's pub grub and the food was ok. But the service has been given a 1. The restaurant is closing and we are staying in the Premier inn. When. We went to book dinner we got told by the grumpy manager that we couldn't have a table till 830 as it was fully booked. With 2 kids this was late. But we went with it. Me and my wife were outside in the sun having a drink and on going to buy a second I saw the bar was empty for food. (Around 1730) I asked if those tables were taken and I was told I could eat there but only till 1830 as it would probably close as the restaurant was fully booked. We took this (unsure why he didn't offer that before) and ate. The annoying thing people in the bar were still getting served for food at 2000. The manager was very unhelpful and it seemed he didn't want us there. One staff member was good behind the bar and I hope he gets a job. The manager doesn't deserve one.”

“This place sells prepared and cooked cattle to your taste. They also have a range of poultry presented in a similar way. I think they do fish too but don't quote me on that. The salad is nice. Great customer service. Toilets have red shiny tiles.”

“We visited Beefeater in Weston-super-Mare yesterday with my family, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. The steaks were incredibly tough and completely lacking in flavour. The salad was wilted and looked old, just as you can see in the photos. We were served by two male members of staff—one wearing a light blue top and another who was quite tall. Both of them were unfriendly and seemed completely uninterested in providing good customer service. Not once did they make us feel welcome. The only positive part of our visit was the bar staff. A lady with ginger hair and a young man with dark hair were both polite, friendly, and helpful. We were also told to sit in the bar area, which had a very dull atmosphere. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. The food was poor, the service was disappointing, and I definitely won’t be coming back.”

“We had a Christmas meal. Photos of the food in the review. The food was nice but the vegetarian dish was small compared to the non-vegeterian roast. Parking is limited to 3 hours.”

“Been to this place a lot through our my life and it's always been great! They've got these cute bowl for the starters now which is a possitive improvement from before and I adore them! I got the breaded mushrooms and fish and chips for my meal and it was lovely. Cooked to perfection! The waiter was very enthusiastic admitively almost too much... Overall amazing meal! Very yummy food and the Christmas attire makes the place feel so cozy and warm at this time of year!”
