About Victorian Cafe

Victorian Cafe is a dog-friendly seafront cafe in Weston Super Mare, close to the Grand Pier. Dogs get their own ice cream and a bowl of water, and the cafe sells beach buckets and spades for families heading down to the sand. The 42-dish menu is built largely around cooked breakfasts, including a Small Breakfast and a Veggie Breakfast. Cream teas come with scones, jam and clotted cream, and cakes fill the counter for a sit-down stop. The cafe is open daily, so it works for a morning meal or an afternoon break on the front. Public toilets are in the same building.

Customer Review Summary

The complaints are specific. One reviewer waited a long time for a meagre breakfast with a charred sausage and barely cooked egg. Another describes surly staff getting a simple order wrong several times and short changing them. Two others found the cafe shut when they arrived, one at 1.05pm when told it closes between 1 and 2, the other mid-afternoon on a Saturday, despite listed hours. One happy diner noted the staff let them change parts of a cooked breakfast without any fuss, and a dog was brought a bowl of water.

“October 2025 YAAAY open again (apparently opened in January after refurb..but as most things in Weston it isn't easy to find out about them !! lots use FarceBook to advertise 🤦🏻‍♀️), prices higher although still ballpark ,but everything I've had has been good. Right on Weston beach front, just along from The Grand Pier. Public Toilets to left of same building. Friendly polite staff, Veggie breakfast £to be updated Ice-cream for dogs, Inside and outside seating. Plenty of Starlings and crows to feed your leftovers to ! I like them !! Building, tables and chairs in need of a refurb,(building inside has now had good refurb) always seems tidy and clean. Selection of cheap and cheerful beach toys for sale”

“On a wet day in Weston we came across the cafe..Greeted warmly but a very nice lady..Served with a friendly smile..Great food (Sausage Bap had plenty of sausages, proper sausages not those cheap ones so many cafe dish up)..Washed down with a lovely coffee..The food can't be faulted, only bettered by the great service”

  • Mark Strutton
“Nice and warm on a cold day, and great view of the sea. Food was high quality, we had baps with egg, bacon and sausage which were exceptionally good. The coffee was also good - strong cappuccino with not too much milk, which we prefer. Very friendly, very professional.”
