  “Not a great experience. Lack of availability on menu and desserts being offered frozen. Scone had been defrosted in microwave and was like eating a bouncy ball. Hot drinks were nice and chocolate fudge cake enjoyed. Expensive for what we had and quality.”

  “A new favourite place! Friendly service, very welcoming, not pushy or overly hovering. Food was excellent, allergens clearly stated, and it all felt like great value.”

  “Lovely lady served us but food was awful, fried bread brick hard and sausages mushy low end and black pudding thin and meal was bland. Cups and cutlery dirty and we were very disappointed and now know why empty seats, shame”

  “Really friendly welcome. Excellent music too. I was after a vegan friendly cake and a tea. The lovely looking cakes were not vegan, but I was quickly offered a toasted tea cake that was. A refreshing surprise! Many Thanks!”

  “Very friendly staff and not busy at all, even in the summer holidays which is nice. Unfortunately, non dairy milk completely split in the coffee, even when I had a second made, so that was disappointing. Regular coffee my fellow diner had seemed fine, but it was quite expensive.”

  “The outside lets it down a bit and slightly dearer than expected but well worth it, extra friendly, helpful staff. Yummy yum food of good quality, with lots of choices. Very clean and huge in side .”

  “Absolutely fantastic service the food was lovely and good value for money. Bought back lots of memories though as i used to go there about 35 yrs ago on family holidays. It's hasn't changed at all but in a good way. My grandad who's no longer with us used to it, The Chinese Restaurant 🙄🫣🤣. Definitely recommend and will return when we return.”

  “Stopped here for lunch. Food was good. Service friendly and efficient. I had a jacket potato with tuna/ mayonnaise. Very good snd good portion size. One of my companions had a scone with jam and cream. She said it was a delicious, home made, fresh out the oven scone. The decor could do with updating but i rather liked the retro feel to it. I would definitely go back there to eat.”

  “Not bad but not the best. Had the full english. Plenty of it but everything was a little bland. The sausage let the side down though. It was one of those low end, low flavour deals, probably from the freezer. For £10 it could have been better. With a better quality sausage it would have definitely been a 4 star breakfast. Coffee excellent.”

  “Great food. Had breakfast here and it was a wonderful place. Lovely polite staff. Friendly environment and an overall good experience. We were picky with our food order and asked for things to not be included example black pudding and mushrooms. The order was perfect and they even included supliments for the items taken off and they gave us fried bread and toast. Very filling and although it is pricey, it was definately worth it. One slight problem was that we ordered my milkshake and it wasnt coming so my fiance went back up amd re ordered the woman apologised many times and it came very quickly. Not a major problem. Great cafe and restaurant.”
