About Topgolf Watford

Topgolf Watford is a golf driving range on Clubhouse in Watford, combining a multi-bay range with a miniature golf course and an on-site restaurant. Each booking is assigned to a bay host who guides groups through the game, with food and drink packages, such as two games bundled with a meal and drink, available alongside the play. The menu centres on crowd-pleasing options including a signature hot dog and a burger, and the dining room sits within the venue so guests can move between eating and play without leaving the site. Entry is walk-in, and a large on-site car park serves visitors. The venue is set up for groups and families, with spaces for spectators on the lower floor and games that suit mixed ages and skill levels.

“Sunday morning visit, BOGOF before 11am, it's a good place, plenty staff on had to help, top golf is a really enjoyable (& frustrating 😂) game, all levels can play, great game for the family or just friends. Easy to find, plenty parking.”

“Rude manager Ross ruined the experience - Had a birthday party booked for 12 people with two additional guests who just wanted to spectate. We asked our host, Smith, who was a very brilliant and kind host who was super helpful the entire time, if it would possible for them to join us in the bays to view. He said it’s against their policy which one of their managers confirmed was the case. We then asked our host if it would be possible if we asked someone in the bay next to us who had less than 6 people in their bay if our friends could stay in their bay but not disrupt them in any who TO WHICH THEY SAID THEY WERE MORE THAN HAPPY WITH. Another manager, Ross - who was clearly on a power play, very rudely approached my friends and told them they must wait downstairs. I informed him that he’d spoken to the players on the bay who said they were happy with them joining in just to spectate and he very abruptly told me I was not listening to him and they must go down and he’s not explaining himself nor would he go to get another manager or his supervised when I asked him if anyone else could confirm this. He said he’s not having people who waited 3 hours have to share their bay. When I explained to him that that was not the case as my friends were just standing not even sitting there just to view and the players again said they were fine with this he ignored everyone and confused to emphasis that I need to listen to him. As much as I understand his point, we had not spoken to him before, we had permission from the host to ask the group next to us if this was ok, and the group themselves said it was fine. So even with all of that he approached already ramped up to put his foot down and saying he doesn’t care who we spoke to before or what my reasoning was to bring my friends up. Now I completely understand people have to do their jobs, but to be so rude to a group of paying customers who have also paid extra to have the bays together, and extra because we HAD to order food with a large booking and those who have seeked permission and been speaking to all staff member politely, it’s completely unacceptable to have an employee on a power play speaking so rudely to customers. And I had to explain to a grown man that the way he was speaking to me was very rude when I was calmly explaining my reasoning and of course he didn’t seem to care. No apology at all. I really hope Top Golf reviews this and speaks to their senior staff members on site on how to speak to customers no matter what position they are in. I myself am site manager at a sports centre and I have NEVER in my life spoken to or let any of my staff speak to any customers like that, especially if that customer was genuinely speaking nicely to them. No matter if they are in the wrong, which considering it is as up to the players in the bay next to us whether our friends could stay in their bay or no and definitely not up to the manager, we were not. All we wanted to do was have a nice time with our friends and involve everyone and even though we were disappointed we could not, in the end we understood that that was the policy. And our host Smith, again, was very kind and a great helpful host. Which is why this even gets 1 star. Unfortunately this review would have been higher had it not been to the rude manner in which we were spoken to and disregarded.”

“First visit yesterday with my 10y/o son and a mate. Unlike your run-of-the-mill driving range, very much an entertainment facility and great for families. The booking in system was straightforward enough, although when you first visit, wasn't entirely clear to me which desk I needed to go to and how the system worked - perhaps I missed key signage ? The golf experience was good. We had a great guy looking after our area, called Olaf - I've written separately to TG thank him for his excellent customer service. The deal we got was for two games a meal and drink for £23. Was reasonably priced and the food (I had the signature dog, my son the burger) was really nice. We didn't hang around after we'd finished the golf, but I would definitely consider visiting again. Although I far prefer the standard driving range. Recommended!”

“I don't often review but went to Top Golf Watford with my 11 year old son today and had such a positive experience I thought I would share. Staff so friendly all around the venue offering to help. My son has allergies and staff dealt with this fantastically which is a huge plus point for us. Great value for money. Great food. Great staff and overall a great place to visit!”
