Customer Review Summary
Coffee is what most reviewers return to, with one decaf drinker saying they have never had a better decaf elsewhere and another pointing to the quality of the beans. Hot chocolate comes close behind, with one family's kids loving it, and desserts such as the cheesecake, the pistachio dream cake and a fresh chocolate cake draw praise too. Breakfast earns credit for generous portions and fresh seeded brown bread, and many describe warm, friendly staff and a relaxing, cozy atmosphere. The complaints concern basics at the table. One reviewer was served stale croissants that were microwaved into a greasy, flattened mess, and found the waiter rude. Another waited a long time for tea and toast, received untoasted bread, and after sending it back ate dry toast with no extra butter. A third found the eggs royale overcooked on both visits, wanting them runny.

“Absolutely amazing breakfast! The food was delicious, fresh and beautifully cooked genuinely one of the best breakfasts we’ve had. The staff were absolutely brilliant so warm, friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much to ask, even when we recruited them as our family photographer! 😂📸 They happily took our family picture and made us feel so looked after throughout. Fantastic food, fantastic service and such a lovely atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Terrible service. Very rude waiter. Served extremely stale croissants and microwaved them. I ve always lived in Belgium and France and, though I don’t expect the croissants to be as good as French ones, I ve never seen a cafe microwaving a croissant before! It ended up looking like an extremely greasy flattened mess. Quite revolting. When we asked to have croissants without microwaving them, we understood why he wanted to microwave them as they were stale! We had to dip them into the coffee to make them edible. The waiter didn’t say sorry; Instead he mocked my 80 y old mother and was extremely rude when we left shouting “Paris Paris” to her back. I wonder how he hopes to keep going with such an attitude when other options are available to customers. I wonder if his aim is to have an exclusively male and foreign clientele as it seemed that way inside. I have never been treated as badly in Mediterranean restaurants or cafes elsewhere. My advice: unless, you re his buddy, stay away from the place, your money will be better spent and appreciated elsewhere.”

“Tea and toast it's not hard is it ! Get the tea then wait and wait while other people after us get served. Then the bread comes (not toasted) sent it back for it to be toasted and no more butter added. Asked for more butter but they wanted to take it away again !! So just ate dry shrivelled up toast with no butter. Arhhh Won't be going there again.”

“Been here twice, it's a nice relaxing cafe to come in for lunch. Hot chocolate was very nice, and on both occasions I had the eggs royale, but the eggs are always overcooked, like them to be runny. It shouldn't be hard to make runny eggs, will order something different if I'm back in this cafe again.”

“A very pleasant and relaxing atmosphere! The coffees taste amazing and it's clear that they use high-quality beans. The staff is very friendly and professional. Their chocolate cake was also fresh and amazing. It's definitely one of the best cafes and breakfast I've ever been to and I highly recommend you visit it”
