Good Fortune Fish & Chips
Quick info
About Good Fortune Fish & Chips
Good Fortune Fish & Chips is a Chinese takeaway on Church Ln in Warrington, operating as a local spot for fish-and-chips-style fare within a takeaway format. The business name signals a focus on fish and chips, and the Chinese takeaway category frames the style of food available. The setting is a single named street address, with no additional neighborhood or district detail supplied. Because the data does not include a menu, attributes, or reviews, the paragraph can only establish the type, location, and format without naming specific dishes or services. The close draws on the one grounded operational detail available: the takeaway format itself, which defines how customers interact with the business. No other grounded facts are present to develop further.

Customer Review Summary
Good Fortune Fish & Chips draws repeat praise for its fish and chips, with diners calling them fresh, crispy, spot on, and the best in the area. Several highlight the speed and heat of the food on collection, and one reviewer says the fish and chips alone make the place worth returning for. However, a recurring cluster of complaints targets the Chinese mains: multiple reviewers describe sauces as extremely sweet, overly rich, or so salty the dish was inedible, with specific dishes called out including beef in black bean sauce, chicken and mushroom, sweet and sour pork, and soup. Overcooked and dry noodles, tough steak, and undercooked or refried chips also appear more than once. One diner notes the portions are generous, while another finds the price high for the quality received.

“Food is by far the best in the area and I’m deeply satisfied by the volume and aggression in which the tiny lady behind the counter serves you. The urgency and enthusiasm in her voice leaves me terrified but excited as they consistently knock out the best quality food time after time, they never let you down.”

“One of the best Chinese takeaways in the area. Worth travelling to.”

“4 curry samosas £3.50, very expensive. Chips were under cooked and clearly refried. Ordered mushrooms, which turned out to be a foil tray of gravy and more onion than mushroom. Really disappointed, and this has been 4th poor experience in a row, I won't be returning.”
- Debra Marsden
“Worse Chinese takeaway food I’ve ever had, noodles over cooked & dry, steak completely over cooked, can’t even cut with knife. Sauce very sweet.”
