Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the food, with the lasagne singled out as tasty and others naming the halloumi burger, the Impossible burger, a mixed grill and children's sausage and mash. One diner appreciated the vegetarian and vegan choices, and another says the broad menu is reasonably priced. Close behind is the staff, described as welcoming, pleasant and very good at their jobs, with the manager and a bartender both getting credit. Real ales and a large selection of lager on tap get a nod, and one reviewer calls the pints spot on. Several describe a community feel, including a busy children's arts and crafts event where everyone had fun. The caveats are mixed. One family waited at the till for the bartender to finish a phone call, then waited again for burgers, and found the empty garden had nothing for kids. Another reviewer felt uncomfortable around a staff member they knew from the past and will not return. One group praised a mother's day meal where a takeaway box was provided for a poorly relative.

“Great service and good vegetarian options We visited the Dog & Partridge last night as a mixed group of adults and children. We ordered a halloumi burger, an Impossible burger, a mixed grill and a children’s sausage and mash with gravy. It can be hard to find good vegetarian and vegan options when eating out, so it was lovely to see a few choices on the menu. The staff were very attentive, especially Mandy, who I think was the manager. She couldn’t do enough for us. We were told there might be a wait for the food, which was absolutely fine, but it arrived quicker than we expected. We had a lovely evening and really appreciated the friendly service.”

“Great pub, excellent staff, young but very good at their jobs. Food was good, we had meals for about 10 of us, no complaints and clean plates. Be back again next time we're passing.”
