  “First time ordering and utterly disappointed! 3 hours after ordering food estimated time was 7.30pm...phoned every 20/40 mins to be told phone was only a few minutes away but didn't eventually arrive til nearly 11pm!! Promised a refund but never honoured. I only ever give positive reviews but this is a first. Terrible communication & customer service.”

  “If I could give 0 stars I would. Ordered a takeaway at 6pm, it then showed up at 9:30pm. Called the restaurant 3 times, where we were lied to and told that the driver would be ten minutes late on final call they then told us order still hadn’t left the kitchen. First phone call I was hung up on by the restaurant. Awful customer service. If you can’t cope with taking orders from just eat then don’t use them as a service.”

  “I ordered from here for years. Recently I got an off mint sauce which smelt like it had not been stored correctly. Ordered from here again 10th July my mint sauce smelt absolutely vile I ended calling them and they tried to say it was fine but later agreed to send more out. Finally about to sit down to enjoy my food and the chicken had also gone off and tasted rotten from the inside. Finally the driver came with a replacement and even he agreed that is not safe to eat gave me a new one I went in and it was also off. By this point it was late and not calling again.”

  “Had a great meal at Amwell Tandoori with four friends. I ordered the Chicken Chom Chom with pilau rice and a garlic naan, and everything was delicious and full of flavour. The service was friendly, the atmosphere was welcoming, and we all enjoyed our food. I would definitely recommend it and will be back again.”

  “I've lived in and around Ware for a number of years now and decided to give Amwell Tandoori a try after their recent re-fit. Wish I hadn't. Has to be some of the worst take-out food I've had. We had a lamb and chicken dish and the quality of the meat was awful. 80% of the meal was binned. Suffice to say, we won't be back... Update 05/05/2026 - after first review 2 years ago visited on Bank Holiday Monday with a mate who was desperate for something to eat. We would've used Neelakash but it was closed. We got to the restaurant about 2115 - the publicised opening hours were to close at 2230. The whole experience was a rush. They couldn't wait to get the food ont he table and us out of the door. We had poppadom's for a simple starter - very nice. The mains were decent to be fair. I had the lamb shank which was well cooked and the sauce was very nice. The rices, vegetable dishes and bread was very nice. But I really don't appreciated a guy opening the door saying "thank you" when we're still seated.”
