Customer Review Summary
Most reviewers return for quick, tasty Chinese takeaway food, with black bean dishes singled out as the best thing on the menu. Chicken chow mein and sweet and sour chicken are praised for being full of chicken. Others mention char siu pork with chicken and onions, fried rice, onion rings and vegetable crispy noodles. Several describe orders ready fast after a phone call and good value compared with other places. Staff are called polite and helpful, though one reviewer gave up phoning because the line was constantly engaged. The negative reviews are specific. One says the food was cold and stale at pickup and that staff put the phone down when they called to complain. Another found the salt and pepper munchies box soaked through with grease and the chow mein inedible. A third received an incorrect order, with salt and pepper chips that arrived late and disappointed after better earlier orders. Delivery also earns praise, with a family's set meal for four arriving as promised and plenty for everyone.

“I can’t express how amazing this takeaway is. The food is immaculate and tasty and the customer service is just wonderful. My order always comes in hot and fresh even when it’s a delivery. The best thing on the menu has to be their black bean dishes, the flavour is balanced with the perfect amount of seasoning. If you are looking to find a takeaway i do so recommend you come to Sunkong, you’ll get the best service and the best food at the best prices!”

“Food was flat cold and stale when it was picked up. Then then you call to complain they suddenly don't understand English 🤷🏻♂️😂.when you speak to them they put rhe phone down on you too. Worst Chinese I've ever experienced, keep clear guys. £38 down the swanny”

“Dreadful place really. They just reheat everything. Closed Mondays. Decor is appalling - they have spent nothing in years sadly. Friendly staff. Cash only so they hide takings from HMRC thus corporation tax minimised. Perhaps avoid.”

“If I could give this disgrace of a Chinese a 0 I would. Food was absolutely god awful pure thick grease in the salt and pepper munchies box which soaked through the box. The chow meins are just inedible and the chicken was that bad our dog refused to eat it which believe me is very unlike her. Avoid this Chinese at all costs and spend your money elsewhere or throw it down the drain least then you'll see something for your cash.”
