Customer Review Summary
Soggy chips are the most repeated complaint, with reviewers describing them as soggy in a delivery order and in a salt and pepper tray, and another noting some were not cooked through. Praise is split. Positive reviewers describe a friendly owner who talked one diner through an order of special chowmein in garlic sauce and chicken curry, and a collection order of chips, rice, noodles and prawn toast that was ready on arrival and still warm, not oily, with enough meat in the dishes. Another reviewer liked the duck and chips but found the sauce watery and the fried rice missing spices. Several call it family run, and one says the food is worth the wait when it gets busy. Delivery draws the harshest criticism. One reviewer reports a two hour wait for cold food, another received a wrong order that took over an hour, and a third was missing cans of pop and sauces and could not get through by phone. One diner found the beef and black pepper cold with chewy meat and wondered if the chef had changed.

“Fancied a Chinese Saturday evening...4 of decided to pick lucky house as we'd had it before and found it okay last year! We had 4 meals plus, chips, rice, 2 noodles and prawn toast. We ordered for 8 as a collection and the food was ready as we practically walked in to collect so the food was really warm once we got home 🏡 The food was really good! Not very oily either and seem to get enough meet in the dishes and I think for £42 it was definitely worth its money!”

“Friendly staff, the fried rice was good but felt like it was missing some ingredients/ spices. The chips tasted nice, as well as the duck; however, the sauce was a little more watery than we are used to.”
