About Hong Kong Kitchen
Hong Kong Kitchen is a Chinese takeaway in Uxbridge, found at 112 Cowley Rd. The menu follows Hong Kong style cooking, and the sweet and sour chicken is made in that style. Hong Kong style milk tea sits alongside the food, so an order can include a drink from the same tradition as the dishes. Salt and pepper chips are on the menu as a side to go with the mains. The business is also classed as a Chinese restaurant and as a fast food restaurant, so it covers both a full Chinese menu and quick counter-style service.

“Ordered through Just Eat at 5:42pm on a Saturday — three dishes, £30. The app said 15 minutes. Hong Kong Kitchen is about a third of a mile from my house. At 7:09pm, nearly an hour and a half later, there was still no sign of it and the app had pushed the estimate out to two hours. I rang the restaurant twice. The first time was 45 minutes into the wait, the second about 15 minutes after that. Both times the whole response was that there was nothing they could do. Not the slightest interest either time. In the end my wife had to get in the car and go and fetch food I’d already paid to have delivered. I know the drivers are Just Eat’s, not the restaurant’s. But when a customer rings twice in the space of an hour, “nothing we can do” isn’t an answer, it’s a shrug. They could have chased the driver, rung Just Eat themselves, or shown some interest in a customer a few streets away whose order had gone wrong. A takeaway that can’t be bothered to help when its own order has gone wrong doesn’t deserve the business. Order from somewhere that actually wants to help.”

“Hands down, amazing food and even better service! One of the best spots for a quick Chinese meal in Uxbridge. The owner/staff member was so lovely. I simply asked if they had any fortune cookies or desserts, and he literally gave me a dessert he had made for himself. 🥹 Such a thoughtful gesture and genuinely lovely vibes. Definitely recommend this place. 🤍”
