We had so much fun chatting with everyone. What makes traveling memorable. We were steered here from a local while in a pub, saying this was the best in town & he was right! The portions as shown were large, light crisp batter (gluten free option), too many chips for one person- all fried perfectly in good flavored, clean oil. Big plus. Great mushy peas. Get a large side container. So yummy. One of the best memories was that as the locals passed by the owners had a few moments to chat & say hello to them & their dogs. Lovely. It’s what makes Thirsk a special & beautiful town to visit in North Yorkshire. Cashless option Handicap accessible with one small step. Free smiles.”
