About Grano Lab
Grano Lab is a small restaurant on Victoria Road in Swindon that works on a reservations-only basis. Diners settle into a compact dining room for a three-course set menu, with pizzas freshly made to order and a specials board that has featured lamb pasta alongside the regular kitchen. Mains such as roasted sea bass arrive with vegetables and potatoes, and a separate kids' menu covers the basics, including a margherita pizza served with apple juice and ice cream. Online booking is available through the restaurant's site.

Customer Review Summary
The clear centre of reviewer praise at Grano Lab is the pizza, with several diners calling it properly Italian and freshly made, alongside standout dishes like a roasted sea bass plate and an insalata di pollo that one diner described as incredible. Close behind, the set menu draws repeat mention for offering three courses at a price one first-time visitor called superb value, and the lamb pasta turns up as a satisfying special. Service comes in for consistent praise too, described as excellent, friendly, attentive, and accommodating across multiple visits, with one diner singling out a server for warmth and several noting the staff know what they are doing. The atmosphere reads as a busy, well-kept room that several groups and families return to. One sharply negative review, however, describes a very different meal: an unseasoned house-made focaccia with bland pesto, a flavourless burrata on cold tomatoes, a gloopy carbonara with burnt lardons, and a watery lamb ragu, alongside a long wait for mains and an interior that felt dated to that diner. That account stands apart from the otherwise enthusiastic consensus. A few suggest booking ahead since the restaurant fills up, and several mention returning with family or friends.
