  “Went in for a beef sandwich. The first attempt every piece of beef was fat. Just inedible. The server realised id discarded most of the meat and offered me a new sandwich. Which was, at least, edible. But over cooked and poorly seasoned. Not been there for 20 years. Won't go back. The server's recognition I clearly didn't enjoy my tea doubles the star rating. Would not recommend.”

  “We visited Toby Carvery today and wanted to say a huge thank you to Donna. She was absolutely lovely from the moment we arrived, so friendly, welcoming and accommodating throughout our visit. Nothing was too much trouble, and she really went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. Customer service like that makes such a difference and is one of the reasons we’ll definitely be returning. Donna is a real credit to the restaurant and deserves recognition for the fantastic job she does. Thank you for making our visit so enjoyable!”

  “Donna was absolutely lovely from the moment we walked in! Was consistent in asking polite questions about the food and has a good sense of humor. Over all the food was lovely too and nearly went up for a second plate! Will be coming back soon hopefully.”

  “I just wanted to leave a little note to say how amazing the waitress was, her name was Donna. She was so, so lovely, polite, and welcoming from start to finish. She really made the whole experience feel extra special with her kindness and attention to detail. Nothing was too much trouble, and she served everything with a smile. It’s not often you come across service that genuinely stands out like this, so I really appreciate her effort. She’s a credit to the team! ⭐️”

  “You can't really go wrong here. It's just so easy and pleasant. Certainly easy on the Wallis as well. My advice get the app it's always cheaper that way isn't it. What impresses me is the staff they don't change that often so you feel like a regular. On this occasion I was so well looked after by Danna or maybe Donna - but in any event so lovely and friendly.”

  “I had the brioche beef bun, if your expecting a soft brioche bun (as advertised) you will be very disappointed. I was served a pre frozen heated under a grill, rock hard bun with obviously pre frozen beef strips which were luke warm. The only saving grace was crispy potatoes and gravy. We would've a second but there was nobody about for us to order one. My husband had a carvery, on paying the blonde lady charged for 2 carvery, one was refunded on request, we got outside and realised we were over charged so had to return.”

  “I had a great experience at Toby Carvery and just wanted to mention how fantastic Donna was. She was incredibly cheerful, friendly, and so helpful throughout our visit. Even though she seemed run off her feet, she stayed positive and attentive the whole time, which really stood out. It’s not easy to keep that kind of energy when it’s busy, but she managed it effortlessly. Thanks for the excellent service, Donna – you really made our visit!”

  “Donna is honestly the best waitress ever! She is always so kind, patient, and welcoming, and she makes everyone feel comfortable straight away. She always remembers what people like and checks in to make sure everything is perfect. Her smile and positive attitude really make the whole experience better.   “Went out with a few friends and well, amazing value at just £6 for a carvery! The food was fantastic, but our waitress Donna was the real star :-) she was super friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience feel like 4 star service. Will definitely return for her warmth alone. Highly recommend!”
