  “I've only been a few times in passing, but it's always been a hoot. There's a server, I think his name is Kieron, and he was fantastic. A good laugh and a brilliant taste in music. 10/10 would return again just to have a chat with him. Proper personable bloke. Drinks were alright too. Will definitely be back!”

  “This is a great little pub, the staff are friendly, and observant. With a good selection of beers , ales and spirits. Great local boozer. And the prices are good too. Bar snacks are available but no food, just good company and great beer.”

  “Hostile service from the young lady behind the bar when we visited on Tuesday 14th July. My beer was cloudy and sour and when I suggested it might be off her reply was "no it isn't". When I politely asked for it to be replaced with a different beer she huffed and rolled her eyes and then thrust the card machine at me without uttering another word. Quite unbelievable - hospitality- the clues in the name 😳”

  “Great choice of four ales. Had a couple on a rainy Saturday afternoon. The Ossett White Rat and the Sanctum Gold from Oakham Ales were very good, both were super fresh and a right temperature they also had Bankss Amber Bitter and Wye Valley Butty Bach Place was nicely decorated warm.and with plenty of keg beers and gins and snacks. Will look forward to coming and trying a few more beers bext time. Excellent addition to Mere Green and great for a pre drink before heading on to one of the local restaurants.”
