About Bodega Wine
Bodega Wine is a wine bar in Stockport, set in a converted old mill at Unit 12 with an industrial look, high ceilings and a DJ playing music in the evenings. Wines come as flights of 3 glasses, with a build-your-own option, and fizz flights are offered for those who prefer sparkling. A chilled red Zweigelt from Funkstille is one of the pours. The food menu is short and built around the wine, with boards and cheese rather than full meals. The bodega board arrives with bread, crackers and chutney, and a baked Camembert sits alongside it. Service is at the table. The bar stands next to the bus station.

Customer Review Summary
The recurring caveat is food and service during busy opening weeks. One diner was told flights were unavailable because the correct glasses had run out, then found no one checking on the table and had to wait to pay after a receipt was left. Another found the bodega board's four pieces of bread, a few crackers and small chutney portion too little for three people, and wanted a better cheese knife. One notes the menu is boards and cheese rather than meals, and a family with a baby found staff accommodating.

“Such a great evening at Bodega last night. Cosy, chic atmosphere with nice lighting and feel. Wine choices were fabulous and staff knew their stuff and the food was amazing. Great value and a perfect option for gathering with friends”

“Went in the afternoon yesterday so was fairly quiet. The charcuterie board was amazing and the wine flight good. Would definitely recommend and will go again. Right next to the bus station so no need to take the car. A couple of other new bars closeby which also look inviting.”

“Really lovely experience here. The staff working were absolutely lovely and so helpful when we booked for the wrong day. They accommodated us immediately despite being super busy and were friendly the whole time. Would 100% recommend coming and we will defo come back! Also the staff had great knowledge and helped us with our flights”

“Spent a happy few hours here sampling all the delicious wines! Love the concept of building your own wine flight and the converted mill setting. Great food, staff and vibe”

“Went here on opening day with my wife and small baby. We had a wine-flight each, the baked Camembert and an extra glass of wine. The atmosphere was really nice - eclectic mix of music that was loud enough to hear without drowning us out. The old mill industrial feel tempered by some cool lighting and high ceilings to feel very Manchester. First the service - really good. Smiley and attentive and quick. Our water stayed topped up and we got our order taken quickly and delivered quickly too - even the food. The drinks - really nice and varied wines at good prices. We had the Viognier, Provence rose and the Austrian chilled red and all were nice, easy drinking with lots of flavour - well chosen for the vibe. The food menu is short and focussed on things to go with wine - the Camembert came with a few good slices for dipping and it was really good. We suggested adding a couple more bits of bread just to make sure we could finish it off. This isn’t a restaurant though - options are charcuterie boards and cheese, not meals. Other bits - we took a very small baby that just feeds and sleeps but this isn’t really a place for children - there’s no kids menu and play spaces. Like by all means bring a well behaved older kid during the day I suppose but it’s not ‘for’ them. They were really accommodating of our little one though. Don’t get me wrong. Overall a great addition to Stockport. Give them a try!”
