About Dragon City
Dragon City is a Chinese takeaway at 49 Wood Vue in Spennymoor. The "Munch box" is its family meal for kids, and it sits alongside the house special chow mein and chicken curry with fried rice. Orders are collected at the shop, and the wait for food is often long, including for those who wait inside for collection. Dogs are welcome, so owners can bring a pet along when they pick up their order.

Customer Review Summary
The munch box is the item reviewers name most, and opinions split on it. One reviewer says the kids love its variety, while others call a recent one terrible or bland, with salt and pepper chips short on flavour. Praise centres on large, flavourful portions of chicken curry with fried rice and beef curry with chips. One reviewer also mentions a recommended shredded smoke chicken, large spring roll and house special chow mein, and another calls the food fresh, hot and tasty. Roughly half the reviews are critical, and several say the takeaway has declined since changing owners. Complaints include dry chicken that seemed reheated, dark and greasy rice, a changed curry sauce, and a bland Singapore vermicelli that was not spicy. Lateness recurs too. One collection customer stood waiting well past the promised time, and another had half an order forgotten, then received the replacement after the family had finished eating and was asked to hand back the original food.

“Ordered for collection - was told it would be ready in an hour so went after an hour. Proceeded to stand in the shop for a further 30 minutes waiting for them to cook it. Must have gone out to catch the seaweed fresh from the sea.”

“Food was late multiple times but i could normally overlook that if they hadn't rang me shouting that they tried knocking earlier and I never answered. I have a ring camera that proves otherwise. Poor service then they try to get out of it by blaming the customer. This establishment used to be so good under the previous owners. Peking chef is the way forward”
