Quick info
About Panda Panda
Panda Panda is a family-run Chinese restaurant in Bishop Auckland, on Tenters St, that opens evenings only and closes on Tuesdays. The kitchen serves both diners who eat in and customers who collect, so the same menu works for a sit-down meal or an order to take home. Crispy beef and chicken balls are among the dishes ordered, and chips go alongside in takeaway orders. Orders are taken by phone, and complimentary crackers or fortune cookies come with them.

Customer Review Summary
Delivery is the draw for most reviewers, who repeatedly praise food that arrives red hot in huge portions, described as tasty, delicious, and good value. One calls it the best Chinese food in years, and another received complimentary crackers. Staff earn warm comments too, from friendly girls serving to a lovely lady taking phone orders. The complaints are specific. One reviewer says the crispy beef was almost all batter with barely any beef, and another found the chips and chicken balls overcooked, the chicken too tough to bite through, with fortune cookies missing. A third describes a late delivery after the driver went to the wrong address, then blamed the customer with no discount offered. Dining in draws mixed remarks: one calls it an odd place to eat, and another says people coming and going for takeaway should be partitioned off.

“Brilliant service, exceptional food. Just let down by people coming in and out for takeaway, this should really be partitioned off.”
- Harry Rees
“Ordered for delivery at 7:15, the food didnt arrive until just before 8. We got told they went to the wrong address which would not of been a problem if they had just came straight to us. The restaurant told us it would be 15 minutes but it was 40! When the food eventually turned up the woman still sat in the car had the audacity to put the blame on us. No offer of a discount or anything at this point we just wanted some food to eat. An all round terrible experience and will not be ordering from here again!”

“Actually decent food worth what they charge. Lady on the phone taking orders is always lovely.”
- Amanda Wakes
“Fortune cookies were missed off the order. Chips are chicken balls are way over cooked, could barely even bite through the chicken it was so tough.”
