About Prime Kitchen Warsash

Prime Kitchen Warsash is a kebab shop in Southampton, on Brook Ln, open daily in the evenings only. The kitchen cooks its chicken shish and tikka chicken shish skewers over coals, and the Adana kebab comes with salad and rice. Platters arrive with rice, bulgar and fresh-cooked bread, and the sharing platter is sized to feed several people at once. Garlic and mint sauce and chilli sauce are on offer alongside. The shop takes large party catering orders, including for a party of 50, so groups can plan a shared meal around the platters and skewers. Pizza sits on the menu next to the kebabs.

“Prime Kitchen are AMAZING! Delicious, great quality and value for money. We asked them to deliver enough food for a party of 50 at the weekend and they smashed it. Everyone said how tasty it was and the team at Prime Kitchen were so helpful in organising it all. Generous portions of everything. Very, very happy!! The picture only shows one table of food, there was another one with even more on it too!!”

“We have now had several take away meals and everyone superb!! I’m not a massive kebab lover but the Adana is delicious- salad and rice fab!!! I have recommended Prime kitchen to friends and they have been equally pleased with their food!! We usually have a very large order and it’s all hot when we get it home!! Well done Prime!! 😀”

“Came highly recommended having eaten the Sharing platter before at a friends, so we thought we’d order a takeaway. Firstly the price on the website is £10 less than what they charge. Secondly, when asking if they cater for a nut allergy (which on their website, it says they can) they clearly don’t or can’t be bothered. So, their response was, go to Tasty Grill in Park Gate as they will cater for you.”

“I have recently moved home from Fareham to Whiteley Meadows and love a kebab. I opted to take a short drive to this place based on the high reviews as I'd tried another local alternative vendor, I won't name who but they're based from a food van and were award winners but the kebab was bland at best. So I arrived at Prime Kitchen, parking options to collection aren't great but hey ho, the premises look and seem very clean, presentable but a little basic looking. The staff were slow to acknowledge me walking in and taking my order, the wait time for food was a little long in my opinion. The delivery fee to get to my home is quite excessive too at £7.50 hence I drove there last night. BUT THE FOOD WAS AMAZING. One of the tastiest lamb doner kebabs I've ever had and no bad stomach the next day which can happen.. I've visited Fethiya in Turkey where I had some really quality kebabs and this is well up there! I will be back for certain based on the food alone, if they can speed up a bit and have more staff to cope with demand (perhaps it was just a bit busier than usual for a Tuesday night) then it will be untouchable for taste and quality. The pitta bread could improve though lads! Overall, really well done, really good kebab!!”

Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often praise the grilled meats, naming the lamb doner kebab, the chicken and tikka chicken shish with their smoky coal flavour, the Adana with salad and rice, and a special mixed grill with juicy chicken and tender lamb. Close behind are the platters, described as generous enough for two with leftovers, and a large catering order for a party that guests found tasty. Others single out crispy mozzarella sticks, golden halloumi, cheesy fries topped with jalapeños, and a kebab shop pizza one diner rated above a national chain. One reviewer with gluten intolerance liked that the rice and bulgar came unmixed. Complaints are fewer but specific. One diner found staff slow to acknowledge them, the wait long and the pitta bread in need of work. Another got a dry doner wrap after enjoying doner kebab chips the day before. One says the website price was higher at the till and that a nut allergy query was met with a suggestion to go elsewhere. Another reports a staff member's poor attitude. Repeat customers say large orders arrive hot.
