Customer Review Summary

Pancakes lead the praise at Josie's, with reviewers calling the stacks fluffy and light, and Eggs Benedict and Eggs Royale close behind at breakfast. Coffee is repeatedly called lovely, and one reviewer singles out a passion fruit white chocolate blondie. A ham and cheese toastie and mushrooms and eggs on toast are called good at lunch. Portions are described as big and the pricing as sensible. Staff are repeatedly called friendly, and one family says the team accommodated a table of six for a birthday breakfast. The main caveat is the crowd: the cafe gets very busy, one reviewer advises arriving early to join a waitlist, and another found the music a little loud, though one party was seated promptly on a busy Friday. One reviewer also laments the drive to get there. A milkshake arrives with the extra that does not fit in the glass.

“Popped in for a spot of lunch on Friday during their busy period but we’re sitted within 5 mins. Ordered some hot drinks with a ham & cheese toasty and mushrooms & eggs on toast. Food was good and service both efficient and friendly. Josies is pretty consistent in its offer which means it’s usually somewhere you can trust to deliver. Good vibe too. Would happily return.”

“Popped into this very busy cafe for a pit stop whilst exploring the lovely Bishops Waltham. The place was buzzing. Although the music was a little loud the place was alive. Two hot drinks and a passion fruit, white chocolate blondie we settled down to enjoy our treat. The food coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. The staff we all young and were flying around making sure everyone was happy. The thing that surprised me the most was the price. One cake and two drinks a few pence over £10. I was fully expecting to pay about £15. For the venue, the staff and the quality of the drinks and cake the price was really good and we didn’t feel like we were being robbed. Well done. We loved our visit and will definitely be stopping for food next time.”

“The best place to start your day - amazing breakfast, beautiful coffee and very sensibly priced. It's also a great location in a lovely little town.”
  • Leo van Galen
“Josie’s never disappoints, reasonably priced, great portion sizes and it all tastes delicious! I recommend getting a milkshake because they give you the leftover that doesn’t fit in the glass - love this!! Staff are always so friendly and helpful.”
