About Winchester Coffee Roasters
Winchester Coffee Roasters is a coffee roastery and cafe in Winchester, based at Unit 7a and founded in 2012. The team roasts its own beans in small weekly batches to order and sells them whole or ground in various bag sizes, as single origins, blends and decaf. The cafe serves pour over coffee alongside fresh cakes and sweets, in a warehouse-style space with plenty of seating where dogs are welcome. An on-site Coffee School has trained over 4,000 students, and its courses include Home Barista, Latte Art and barista level one. Wholesale beans are available for businesses, and the roastery supplies more than 110 of them across the South of England.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return mainly for the coffee, from pour over in the café to single origins, blends and decaf bags ordered online and posted, which one regular says arrive dated within a week or two. Fresh cakes and sweet pastries sit alongside, and one visitor who endured dishwater coffee at a hotel found the cups here excellent. Close behind are the barista courses, where Home Barista, barista level one and latte art sessions are called informative and interactive, helping attendees get more from their own machines. One visitor found the coffee not quite to their taste and wished counter staff had explained the beans up front, though advice given when asked was good. The same reviewer says the warehouse-style space echoes with grinding, making it poor for reading or working, and another finds parking difficult on weekdays. A latte art attendee singled out the instructor's Chameleon design.

“Great coffee rosters and coffee shop. I use their brand regularly, and order online. You can collect in store or have them delivered by Royal Mail. Brand are typically dated within 1 or 2 weeks of me getting them so have mostly degassed by the time I have them. Good variety of coffee, from single origin to blends including decaf options. Various sizes of bag and you can have brands or ground coffee as required. On site experience is great with fresh cakes to accompany your coffee. Worth a visit. Parking can be difficult, read the parking signs if visiting during week day working hours.”

“Fabulous coffee although I'm always surprised how many people sit in and drink because it's certainly off the beaten track. One of those places, if you know, you know. Great coffee in the roastary and to take away. Wholesale available to as they supply beans to my retail shop. Coffee training also available.”

“Had a great time doing the barista level one course last week. Pat was super knowledgeable and made it a great experience. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to learn more about coffee or just generally improve their skills :)”

“My partner and I attended the 2 hr Home Barista Coffee Course and it was excellent! So informative and really helped us understand our coffee machine and how to make the most of it. Really interactive and we got a lot of value from it, thank you so much! Will be back to try the latte art course later in the year”

“Really enjoyed the Latte Art course with Pat. Pat was an excellent teacher, helpful and calm and the three of us all improved and had a great time. On a mega hot day it was brill to be in an air conditioned room. Highly recommended - get him to show you his "Chameleon" :))”
