About Long Itch Diner
Long Itch Diner is a roadside cafe on Southam Rd in Southam, set in an old petrol station that now draws bikers and cyclists. Motorbike-friendly parking gives riders a place to pull in, and a weekly bike night and a monthly Butty Run bring the biking crowd together. The menu is a basic cafe one, with burgers, wraps and bacon sandwiches, and a full English breakfast is served all day. Dogs are welcome, so riders and cyclists can stop in with their pets.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often come for the full English breakfast, with generous portions and sausages singled out as worth the ride. Close behind is the setting, a former petrol station now a roadside cafe where bikers and cyclists stop, with motorbike-friendly parking, a Thursday bike night and a dog-friendly welcome. Others mention a veggie wrap, flat white and Biscoff rocky road cake, and a burger. One reviewer praises the Friday and Saturday evening Jamaican kitchen, naming curried goat with rice and peas, plantain or dumplings, plus barbecued meat. Service divides opinion. Several call it friendly or excellent, while two describe a bacon sandwich taking around half an hour in a quiet cafe and one staff member dropping a plate on the table without a word. Another says a bacon baguette arrived microwaved and chewy and the menu has shrunk since new owners took over. Even so, the full English with a hot drink keeps getting described as good value.

“Walked here along the canal from The Boat Inn where we were staying. Four of us had an excellent full English breakfast which cost £11.50 per person and included a hot drink. The food was perfectly cooked and tasted great. Very generous portions kept us going all day so no need for lunch! We appreciated it being dog friendly and that everything was clean and tidy. Thanks very much.”

“Food quality and pricing very good. Service mixed, one of the staff (young lad) just threw my plate down on my table without a word. It took 30mins for a bacon sandwich to arrive and the place wasn't very busy. Other staff were friendly just let down by some of the team which made the visit a bit disappointing.”

“Been a couple of times recently. Changed a lot from a couple of years ago. Couce on menu a ot smaller. Food gone down hill. Asked for a bacon baguette, baguette was microwaved ao was chewy. Popped in yesterday, place wasn't busy Saud that the food would be at least half hour. I didn't . Some staff not as friendly as before”

“New owners on the start of the suner of 2025. Very busy. Wish them all the best. Just want to say Hi to everyone who works or rides there. Great Little cafe that once a petrol pump before the M40 killed it. Bike night on Tuesday, Thursday and the Butty Run on the first Sunday of the month. Great food but does change hands now and again.”

“Great place to stop off for a good breakfast or a burger, basic cafe menu but well cooked with generous portions, good bike night on a Thursday”
