About Chicco Di Caffe

Chicco Di Caffe is an Italian cafe on Bank Street in Rugby that pairs a coffee shop and breakfast room with a wider menu running into Mexican dishes. The kitchen covers vegetarian chimichangas, double pepperoni pizza, fajitas and quesadillas alongside Italian options such as vegetable lasagne and paninis, with milkshakes and pot-served tea on the drinks side. Breakfast brings bacon, sausage and tomato, and a sausage baguette sits on the menu for those eating on the move. The team serves generous portions and will box up what is left, and the printed menu is available to take home. The room takes walk-ins across the day, fitting the casual cafe format.

Customer Review Summary

Most reviewers praise the generous portions and friendly, attentive staff, with many single out items like the Mexican steak, quesadillas, and chimichanga as standouts. A few diners, however, describe disappointing breakfasts and dishes dominated by cheese rather than the advertised ingredients, noting food arrived under-seasoned or burnt. Several recommend returning for the value.

“Second time eating here, love the food, have tried Tacos, quesadillas, Panini's and Fajitas, loved everything. Special shout out for Kamila, excellent service on both occasions.”

“Popped in for a breakfast. The food was very nice a good selection, hot and freshly made. Tea was served in a pot which I loved. Prices are very keen. Staff are very attentive and friendly. Give it a go you won't regret it.”

“Great food, fine company and a warm, friendly atmosphere. Thankyou. Been again recently, 2 years later and we wouldnt guve a 5 star now. I dont know if there has been a change if hands but overall the food was piping hot, not good quality or to our standard. A vegetable lasagne needs to have vegetables in it instead the main ingrediant was cheese. The milkshakes were like frothy Nesquik with crushed ice in the bottom and the sausage baguette was not good quality and questionable. Again covered in loads of cheese. The place was empty. We left alot. Think its obvious things need to improve.”

“We were looking for a place to eat around 9 o'clock so I went in and asked if they were still taking orders. The lady was very nice and the food looked affordable so we sat in and ordered. We had a vegetarian chimichanga and the double pepperoni pizza and a drink each. The lady serving us was lovely, the food was delicious and reasonably priced. Will definitely go back again when we're next in the area!”
  • Makenshi Fox
“I was fortunate to visit during an England world cup match so I had the place to myself! I tried a Mexican steak for the first time and it was delicious, and there was plenty of it! I look forward to returning.”
