  “We don't have takeaway very often at all so when we do we like to make sure we enjoy it so choose where we know we won't be let down. We always choose New Golden Wok for Chinese and it's always top quality, delicious food, the phone is answered in a really pleasant and friendly way, reminding us that the know us and have delivered to us before. Delivery time is managed well, always arriving before expected time quoted. We feel it is good value for money.”

  “Unfortunately, this isn’t a Chinese takeaway I would recommend. There are several much better options within a five-minute drive. The meat is often either tough or jelly-like, and overall the dishes tend to be quite greasy. The man who served us was absolutely lovely, which makes it even more of a shame that the food wasn’t up to my usual standard — especially as a self-confessed Chinese takeaway connoisseur.”

  “Always loved and raved about this place had many great takeaways, but it appears to have been taken over . Worse Cantonese we have ever had . Chicken Balls with Sweet and Sour Sauce, chicken was tough and the Balls were coated in some dough that was thick and uneatable , Duck with Ginger not nice not slices , chunks. Noodles tasted burnt , could be pan needed cleaning . Really very disappointed we had looked forward to this . Hope it improves.”

  “This place has really gone downhill. Food was average at best. Even the prawn crackers were floppy. Also very expensive; 24 quid for 3 basic dishes.”

  “Best Chinese takeaway around Solihull area by a mile, trust me I’ve tried most of them! Some highlights Singapore Chow Mein yum, chicken curry egg fried rice, the curry sauce is fantastic & also with chips dip in! Beef Satay & special treat Fillet Steak with Pepper Sauce 😋 x”

  “As a life long Silhillian I've tried most of the Chinese takeaways in the area. We've only recently moved to this one and I have no problem in saying that in my view it's the best one. The owner/manager always greets people in a highly enthusiastic and friendly manner, almost like a friend he hasn't seen in a while. He makes a fuss of any kids giving them a free fortune cookie, and even asking if they have a brother or sister they can take one home to. In terms of customer service and experience, this place is unrivalled amongst its peers. The best part for me though, is that they are highly accommodating to allergies. My wife has an allergy to soy and when I went there for the first time I asked what dishes they could do soy free and he simply said, tell me what you want and I'll make it soy free. This was a total shock as at previous places they'd simply give me a choice of a handful of dishes that didn't contain it. As a huge fan of Chinese food my wife is over the moon that she's finally found somewhere that's enabled her to enjoy her favourite dishes again. It makes me wonder why more places weren't willing to do the same thing. On top of this the food is on par with the best I've had at a handful of previous favourite takeaway spots. Either way we're customers for life now and won't be going anywhere else.”

  “We once held the opinion that they were the best Chinese Take Away in Solihull. Any intolerances or allergies would always be catered for as the meals are freshly prepared and ingredients could be added or removed, despite my wife having one meal, crispy duck, which was very dry. On Tuesday, 8th Oct, I attended and ordered a meat dish for my wife and a vegetarian aubergine meal for myself. I waited, very nice lady, she confirmed the order as it was handed to me, everything in order. Arrived home, to find I had a chicken meal not aubergine. Telephoned, the lady confirmed my order, was surprised to find I had been given chicken, spoke to kitchen staff who said they had "No aubergine in shop." Why the chef choose chicken as a vegetarian substitute we had no idea. Offers £5 discount next time we visit. No good to me as I am, vegetarian so they delivered a fresh veggie alternative, which was cheaper than my original order but will not quibble. I sat and watched my wife eat her meal , which was not as well cooked as usual, and then she sat and watched me eat my meal, once it arrived. They must have changed Chef, quality of meals not so high as previously and no confidence in ordering again, when random alternatives can be substituted without thinking of the consequences”

  “Easily my favourite oriental takeaway. Staff are always helpful and friendly, the owner in particular is very customer focused. I've never had a bad meal from this place, and I recommend the Singapore style dishes! Normally very quick about delivery and on the few occasions that I've collected the food, staff are always diligent but friendly and the inside appears clean and we'll presented. Keep it up guys! (Number 404, I've been honest but really nice about you, throw in some of that spicy crispy shredded beef ;-) )”
