  “Mavi Ruya was an overall great experience! My parents and I have been to Turkey, and we honestly found the food here to be just as good, if not better, than the food in Turkey. Our server, Fatih, was great as well. He gave us excellent recommendations and accommodated us amazingly. If it’s not to cold out, I definelty recommend sitting outside as it offered a great ambiance with great nature and a flowing river beside you as you eat. Overall, I highly recommend this place if you want some real, authentic Turkish food in Sheffield!”

  “Do not go anywhere else for a Turkish meal in Sheffield. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent. I had the garlic mushrooms to start and the rest of my party had the mixed Meze. Then, as you can see, we had the platter which was plenty for five of us and we ended up taking some home as well. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you want excellent food in a lovely setting by a river.”

  “The staff were great, atmosphere fantastic, I thought too much sauce and not enough meat on starters and mains, lamb tender. I enjoyed it but I’m not sure I’d return. Worth a try though.”

  “What an incredible restaurant. This is absolutely a destination all in itself. We were very well looked after by Leo and the staff for my birthday celebrations. The food was exquisite and has set the bar for Turkish food in my eyes. This is without a doubt, a Sheffield gem that we are incredibly lucky to have in the city. Make sure you book as soon as you can, you absolutely won't regret it.”

  “What an absolute treat. Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon instead if going for a standard Sunday lunch, not a single regret. Friendliest staff on the planet, really nice chilled atmosphere, and amazing food. 10/10, would recommend”

  “I visited Mavi Ruya again and had a very pleasant experience overall. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely, and the staff were warm and welcoming as always. Having visited before, I noticed a few small changes. The complimentary starter seemed a little less generous than on previous visits (only one portion for a table of six (four adults)), and the kunefe was presented slightly differently this time. While still enjoyable, it didn’t quite match my expectations based on past experience. Overall, it was still a very enjoyable visit and I would happily return.”

  “Had a fantastic evening meal at Mavi Ruya – Turkish Bar & Grill with my work colleagues! 🍽️✨ The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the service was incredibly attentive 😊, and the food was absolutely outstanding. The sharing platter was a real showstopper — piled high with perfectly grilled meats, fresh sides, and amazing flavours 👌🔥. The individual dishes were just as impressive, beautifully presented and full of colour. The photos I’ve added say it all 📸😋. It’s rare to find a place that gets both the food and the overall experience so right. A brilliant spot for groups, work outings, or anyone who loves great Turkish cuisine 🇹🇷❤️. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

  “As soon as you walk in, the décor set's a high bar... you know you've walked in somewhere special. We were greeted as old friends, even though it was our first time. After we were seated, the menu was explained to us by the front of house, a lovely chap called Luki or Lucky. Our starters, which were a selection of dips & breads were delicious, even the one with aubergine (and I don't generally go near aubergine) was delicious. I had the mixed kebab for mains, which was Lamb Shish, Chicken Shish, Adana Kebab, Lamb Rib, Chicken Wing & Lamb Chop, all hot, perfectly cooked & delicious. My wife had a Turkish garlic sausage pizza, again, it was delicious. Drink prices were on a par with what you'd expect from a quality restaurant, wine prices starting from £27.50 for the house red & whites & cocktails were £12.90 each. We had a long island ice tea which was really nice & packed a punch. So, in a nutshell, a lovely restaurant, attentive knowledgeable staff, great service, great food & drink. I couldn't pick fault, it's a solid 10/10 from me.”

  “Mavi Rüya Turkish Bar & Grill in Sheffield is an absolute gem. From the moment we arrived the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with beautiful décor that gives the restaurant a really authentic feel. The staff were friendly, attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. The food was outstanding. The starters were fresh and full of flavour, and the grilled meats were cooked perfectly – juicy, tender and beautifully seasoned. You can really tell they use quality ingredients, and the portions were generous with everything arriving hot and well presented. We finished the meal with the most gorgeous baklava, which was perfectly sweet, flaky and full of flavour. Paired with traditional Turkish tea, it was the perfect way to end a fantastic meal. A wonderful dining experience from start to finish – we’ll definitely be returning. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”
