About Taste of Bengal
Taste of Bengal is an Indian takeaway on Station Road in Sheffield, with a menu that runs to 208 dishes. That range covers the recurring orders customers build around, from naan bread and onion bhajis to garlic rice, alongside curries such as chicken tikka and the tandoori mixed grill. Chips are offered alongside the curries too. The kitchen operates on a walk-in basis with no reservations, and orders go out for delivery as well as collection, reaching customers who prefer to eat off site. High chairs are available for families with young children who come in to order. The takeaway opens Monday to Sunday except Tuesdays, and runs evenings only, so timing a visit or delivery around that pattern is worth checking ahead. The subcategories listed cover both Indian takeaway and Indian restaurant service.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers repeatedly single out the tandoori mixed grill as a standout, several noting it stays succulent and flavorful where other takeaways serve it dry. Close behind, the onion bhajis draw consistent praise for arriving crispy and well spiced, and the TOB special curry gets called out by name along with chicken pakoras described as fresh and crispy. Multiple diners also highlight the garlic rice and warm naan, and more than one mentions reasonable prices and generous portions, with one order feeding three people with leftovers to spare. Service comes up often too, with reviewers describing friendly staff, quick delivery, and a couple of free extras like a bottle of coke thrown in. The only real snag noted is a minor mix-up over a requested creamy sauce variation that didn't come through as asked on one phone order. Otherwise reviewers describe reordering repeatedly, including one who now drives twenty-five minutes just to get a curry from here.

“Ordered for the first time since its changed ownership. Spent £48 on 3 currys 2 rice naan chips and bhajis. Currys very tasty. The TOB special very nice. Perfect amount of veg as I love my veg. Chicken was plentiful. The chicken tikka currys were nice. I wanted one of them to be the red creamy sauce. I dont think the guy on the phone understood me haha. Or they just don't do it like that. Id order more rice next time. Garlic rice is beautiful by the way. Naan was warm. Bhaji were nice too. Pictured is the TOB special”
